  1. TBH I woulden't mind if we concede 8 goals today, so long as we score 9. All I am interested in today is coming away with the three points. If Fifa is anything to go by it's going to be a 4-0 win to us. Yakubu scoring two, Pienaar with a great header and Fellaini scoring in the last minute. I hope he has a good game (Fellaini) because I think he will come good and we need to give him time to settle into his new found club. If we mark Owen out of the game I can't see where their other thread is. COYB.
  2. As Ambani looks closer and closer to becoming our new club chairman we need to start thinking who we could buy with all the millions. If we get taken over before January 2009 which looks likely then we will have sufficient cash to start to challenge the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Wigan in the transfer market. I was wondering who you would like us to go out a get, and your reasons why. I declare this thread, Open! Edit: I know about the other thread but this one is more about your dream moves. Those that would just be amazing to see. The likes of Deco and Kaka signing into Finch Farm.
  3. Well what a weird post! The mushy peas bit turned my stomach but the nice little curry and chips put it right back on track. I have my chips and curry every game from the same place. The nice little Chinese Shop across the road from the church with the yellow signs (need to check the name) lovely every time, and hot!
  4. Oh dear.. Joe Kinnearis ready to put his faith in Shola Ameobi for tomorrow’s game at Everton. But while Jose Enrique is back in the picture, the United interim boss was forced to rule fellow full-back Habib Beye out just before the bus left for Merseyside after today’s training session. Kinnear admits he has liked what he has seen of Ameobi this week – and with Obafemi Martins and Mark Viduka still out injured, he is ready to partner the 26-year-old striker with Michael Owen tomorrow. Kinnear told me: “I have two choices up front for a partner for Michael – Shola Ameobi or Xisco. I will probably give them 45 minutes each, but I am leaning towards starting off with Shola. “This will be a big opportunity for him and I hope it is not a lost opportunity. “They tell me he has 46 goals for us and this is more than anybody else in our squad at the moment. “I have had a good talk to Shola this week and I have told him he has the size, power and pace to go out there and do it, and this is what I am looking for him to do tomorrow.” Ameobi will need no reminding that it was at Goodison where he received the only red card of his career on the last day of the 2005 season. Or the fact that his last goal for United from open play came in the 1-1 draw against Everton at St James’s Park just over two years ago. NU-FC Forum
  5. Oh, in that case I'll look some of thier songs up on YouTube Always All Ways - (Lostprophets)
  6. Great points there. In Arteta's case he needs to just get his head right. He is a good player and I think he's just around the corner from getting back to fitness and quality. Yakubu's been terrible since his penalty miss and Saha can't really be blamed. Coming back from injury into a new club when on the night they had so much pressure on them. Yobo is another that just needs to get back on the good road. But Anichebe! Anichebe is by far our worst player ever. He never runs for the ball. Increadably lazy, never really does anything with it when he's got it. Never makies impact and clings on to the two goals he scored in Europe, which for a striker ain't good enough, if I had my way he would have been released, never mind sold, released by now.
  7. Some good points in there, but there's still something not right about Kirby. Will Ambani help us out should he take us over?
  8. Jagielka was brilliant on that night for us. He was good in attack and fantastic at the back. Good to see he managed to snatch a goal and restore some hope into our qualification hopes. And why is Arteta our 2nd Best Man of the Season
  9. Hibbert is good at hoofing the ball, he will make a good clearance and he's not that bad going up front. But at Right-Back he's simple making too many mistakes. He's having to do work that he finds to hard for himself. He's too slow for the game, he dosen't pick up men well and isn't that good of a reader of the game. He just dosen't read what people are going to do. IMO, he should be dropped and sold to the likes of Birmingham and QPR in January where he would do a good job.
  10. If he's under contract we could try to hold out. I'm not in favour of dropping Arteta fully but I am in favour of making him aware that we are not afraid to take away his dead-ball duties and permanant place if we need to. We need to be more firm with players. Yakubu for one dosen't look interested at the moment so I think it's time the likes of Baxter and Vaughan had a chance to hit the back of the net.
  11. Trio Doubtful For Barcodes Everton boss David Moyes has been left waiting on the fitness of three players ahead of Sunday's visit of Newcastle United. Captain Phil Neville is the manager's biggest doubt after he picked up a hamstring problem in Thursday's game against Standard Liege. Meanwhile Tony Hibbert, who only made his comeback after five months out in last Saturday's Merseyside derby, has been suffering with cramp. Striker Louis Saha was another to return from Belgium with a knock and Moyes says he will have to assess the fitness of all three over the weekend. Speaking to the media ahead of the game at Goodison, the Toffees chief said: "We've got one or two [knocks]. Phil Neville's got a bit of a hamstring injury I'll need to assess. "Tony Hibbert's suffered from cramp in both games so we'll have to see how he is. There are one or two other knocks and bruises - Louis Saha took a knock as well. "But we're only just back [from Belgium] so we'll have to see how they are over the next day or two." Moyes is definitely without midfielder Tim Cahill after an appeal against his red card in the Liverpool game was rejected. The Australian will miss Everton’s next three games. But Marouane Fellaini is back in the reckoning having been cup-tied in midweek. Everton: Howard, Nash, Turner, Neville, Hibbert, Yobo, Jagielka, Lescott, Baines, Valente, Castillo, Fellaini, Osman, Arteta, Pienaar, Rodwell, Baxter, Yakubu, Anichebe, Saha, Vaughan.
  12. It seems like everyone's dinner was cocked right up. My pizza was nice, but it was delivered. Not from Pizza Hut. That place has some dodgy staff most of the time. There's only one resteraunt of thier that I like. What went wrong Donkey? And my pizza was great - little on the cheesy side but still good. 8
  13. That chant is the best chant ever sung in football history.
  14. Pizza has a long, complex and uncertain history that often inspires heated debate. Pizza as we know it today began in Naples in the Campania region of Italy, but the exact sequence through the many flavoured flatbreads of the ancient and medieval Mediterranean to the dish we now call pizza is not fully understood. Since the late 19th century pizza has spread throughout the world. ^Pepparoni Pizza Tonight!
  15. No age to go that, wishes to his family and friends. And may he Rest In Piece - Once A Blue Always A Blue
  16. I woulden't buy Fifa Steet for 79p. How are you doing in your season Everton Lad? I take it you have the game now, just wanting to know how your doing with your Everton Season. I'm going to post my results when I get it
  17. Are Sayars and Hampsons the same place?
  18. I'm will be playing on Xbox 360 when I get it tomorrow. Ah, I see. It just seemed that you were on a low level after only just getting the game and scoring 7 goals in a single game. I've just been on PES 2008. IO'm saying one last goodbye to it. After I get 09 I won't play it at all. Just finished a shocker of a season. For five years I have done the treble, this year, nothing. Came 3rd in the league winning no cups at all.
  19. Thanks for that Belgium. Good game of football from your side. You can go far in the competition IMO. Keep Defour on your team and you'll achieve great things. Good Luck in UEFA mate.
  20. Disgrace. I bet English Fans get the blame again, we always get seen as the enemy whenever there is troble. Remember Manchester United when they went over to Rome against AS Roma? For some reason those fans were to blame when they were blatenly being beaten by the authoraties. Feel annoyed at the Belgian Fans but it's not all of them, just the minority again. Take FromBelgium for example, sound guy and I'm sure would never dream of causing this trouble. It's the minority that ruin what could have been a good night for Everton & Liege. <_<
  21. Kipper On David's Future In one week, out of two cups and turned over by the shite, admittedly its not the best time to be a Blue, but Moyesy is no quitter and has no intention of walking out on Everton. His contract is still unsigned and the game of cat and mouse continues on whether he will sign or not. Rumour control is telling us that Moyesy wants some cash assurances from Blue Bill over his future spending power on the team. We are told Moyesy is happy enough with the size and length of his contract which we believe is worth around £2.5 - £3m a year. Not bad work if you can get it! Moyesy says: "There's no manager who thinks they have an easy ride. That's part of it. But I want to stay. There might be a timescale, something might happen. Who says when you come into football management that every year you're going to have a good year? We have had tough tests - all managers face difficult times, and I have had some. No one has a divine right to win football games. You have to earn the right to do so. Managers can get into situations where it can be hard, and I have had it before. That's your job." (03/10/08)
  22. More From DM Moyes added: "You can’t run up to a referee and do that in his face. I don’t know if it is different rules in Europe. I thought he should have been sent off for that and then to not be sent off for the professional foul on Yakubu was unbelievable." Instead, Liege kept 11 men on the field and, after taking the lead through Axel Witsel in the opening half, a penalty from Milan Jovanovic late in the contest dampened Everton's hopes of securing a famous result following Phil Jagielka's equaliser. Moyes added: "It probably looks a penalty kick, but it didn’t make much difference because we needed to score anyway. "I am more disappointed about the decisions earlier in the game because that would have been a big factor. I felt a bit let down there."
  23. David Moyes Speaks With evertonfc.com David Moyes has vowed to rebuild Everton's season after the bitter disappointment of an early exit from Europe. A 2-1 defeat to Standard Liege in Belgium has consigned the Blues to a 4-3 aggregate exit from the Uefa Cup at the first round stage. The Goodison chief was frustrated by the referee and the fact his side couldn't turn their possession into clear-cut openings against a well-organised Liege side. But he has pledged to put the Blues back on track - and has reassured fans his future remains with Everton despite speculation over his new contract. He said: "(The targets now are) to try and kick on and do as well as we have done in the previous seasons. "They (the fans) have known for a long time (that I'm staying). I've had some bad ones (starts to the season) and this one hasn't been great but this is football and it's my job. You can't expect to have a good year, you have to earn the right and play well. "The players played very well tonight, we did very well up to 25 yards out and then it was hard to get through them and that would be the only bit I could fault them for." The manager was also surprised that Liege skipper Steven Defour was not dismissed early in the contest for a very animated gesture to the referee.
