  1. Yes. Standard Liege = 2 Everton FC = 1 It's 3-3 on aggregate at the moment but Liege would win on Away Goals. We need another goal to try and take the game into Extra-Time. I feel with Anichebe, even though I dont rate him we are better. With three attackers we will be able to play a more offensive game and this could get us through. COYB! 67 Goal for Everton! - An absolute shocker from the Leige keeper. Aragon fumbles the ball twice and Jagielka is on hand in the pen area to hit an equaliser. Jagielka's first goal of the season and a vital one at that!
  2. Jagielka! 64 Everton revert to a 4-3-3 formation - they are going for it now. 62 Hibbert is coming off for Anichebe, surprise sub. Neville will slot in at right back.
  3. Dinner was good again today. Nice bit of Chicken Kiev is always nice to see! Wolfed that down as usual. The chicken nuggets were especially nice this time. They were the proper stuff, not the little things you get in Maccies (which can be nice) the real chicken stuff. This was complemented with a bacon sandwitch, which had been left on the grill a tad too long meaning it wasn't too nice to eat. 7
  4. They may be a good side Licker but the annoying part is we don't look like scoring. We need to sort ourselves out before we can start to challenge the Liege team. The thing that is annoying me most is bar Jagielka, Neville and occasionally Osman we don't seem interested. It's not a surprise that the three players that are playing thier hearts out tonight are players that are English & Loving the Club. If we didnt have Neville we would be screwed. I'm not watching the second-half, just check on Sky Sports for our updates.
  5. Howard: Looked OK, great save before the goal just dissapointed he didnt make more of an effort with the cross - maybe it was just too high for him. Hibbert: Looks good going foreward linking up well with people but the goalscorer was his man and he alone must take the blame for the goal. Jagielka: Superb first half performance, him and Neville have been our best players. Lescott: Hasn't been as bad as I though he would be, needs to get involved more. Baines: Not seen him get too involved yet and could have easily been booked for that tackle outside the area. Neville: Looking good. Showing good leading spirit and managing to push up well. Another good game from the skipper. Osman: Doing well also, needs to get more shots off as we know he can hit a ball. Needs to be more attacking. Arteta: OK Cahill: Doing well. Just hoping he'll show some flair from somewhere and head a goal home - If Arteta gets a set-piece right he'll be on the scoresheet tonight. Saha: Needs to get more shots on target. He ain't gonna score if he dosen't make the keeper work Yakubu: Doing a good job holding up the play as our big-man. Good first 45.
  6. Tokio Hotel are by far the worst band that I have ever heard. They come from Germany and are a massive faggot/emo/makeup band who's only average song is Scream. Which after the second listen gets irritating. The singer is by far the worst ever heard and that's worse than Cilla Black. The singer, if you can call him that is know for his random, obsene homosexual haircuts which usually look like this or this. If this isn't bad enough they should be banned from the whole competition for the sole reason. They're German.
  7. For me tonight I am going for more of the same. I'm having Chicken Kievs along with Chicken Nuggets (the real stuff) and some bacon on toast. Sounds excellent. I'm actually quite hungry after my little breakfast and lunch of Tiger Buns and Pasty!
  8. I bet you now 'English Football' will be to blame.
  9. Ah, Is that him? Oh, will definatly vote then.
  10. ^Just mentioning to ask about Metallica. I wanted to ask about the new album, Magnetic Death. It's getting real bad reviews and everyone is saying that if it wasn't for thier legendary hits then they would no longer be a band the album was that bad. Now, I've heard some of the old stuff on Scuzz at it's not that bad but I was wondering whether the new album was any good? Why Do I Feel So Sad - (Alicia Keys)
  11. I don't know, now you mention it it does look like it, I just saw it on the Internet and thought it looked cool. That'll give me an excuse to dig out all the Jackass Movies!
  12. I've never actually heard of Rick Ashley. I'm might go and vote for him now. What genre does he usually sing? I also voted Paramore and Coldplay in some of the other catagories. I can't wait for the Kerrang! Awards 2009, time for Lostprophets to get thier two-year title back off Bullet For My Valentine!
  13. White Stripes, excellent band. Not heard of SMD though. It's Not The End Of The World (But I Can See It From Here) - (Lostprophets)
  14. Got some of the interviews off Evertonfc.com for those that are interested. I just got the talking parts because the text was facts we already know (Results, Fixtures, Name) Tim Howard "Last year we were resilient and we went there and got the goals we needed. They were a difficult side and now we are sitting here faced with the same challenge as last year so we hope we can draw on that experience." "People say you want to play the away leg first but I have played European football for five seasons now and I am not entirely sure that is always the right way," he declared. People have been schooled to say that, but I see it differently. Okay, they have two away goals but we now know what we have to do and our goals are going to count for more. I think we are right where we want to be." "The mood is still positive," he insisted. "It has to be. It’s no secret that we haven’t started the season the way we would like to have done. It hasn’t been up to out standards and everybody is trying to be part of the solution because if you aren’t then you are part of the problem. We have to go and win one game. You can pick it apart and dissect it but at the end of the day we have to win one game against a side we know we can beat." Phil Neville ''We brag about how great the spirit is here – now we have got to show that it is not a myth,” said Neville. ''Things have not been going well so far but now we the players have got to put our balls on the line for this Club. We can’t have any regrets when we walk off the pitch on Thursday night – and I don’t believe we will. We have been building something for the past couple of years and we want it to come to fruition in the long-term – so we have got to believe we can win this game.'' ''Let’s go over to Belgium thinking positively.'' “I’d be lying if I said everything has been plain sailing since we finished fifth," Neville conceded. "But they are things that should not really impact on us. I’ve heard suggestions that the manager’s contract has had an effect but that is not true. “I’ve not heard it mentioned in the dressing room once. The only thing the players are bothered about is getting good results for this club and we are all hurting that we haven’t done that consistently yet. But, take it from me, we intend to change that this week “If I’m honest, I think Liege are there to be beaten,” he continued. I saw them play Liverpool and I was impressed but sometimes there is a danger that you can build a side up to be better than they actually are. We need to have belief and look at the bigger picture. Yes they played well at Goodison but look at the goals they scored – they were both defensive errors. That tells it’s own story. “I’m positive that we can go over there and score. We just have to keep things tight.” Tony Hibbert "I have been back training for a week and I felt alright in the first half. I was thankful that the gaffer gave me the nod and any local lad wants to play in the derby. It is a very big game," declared Hibbert, whose family were regulars on the supporters' European trips last season. The family keep me informed of the way days and it's great for the fans to have these trips. It is another cup and I think we should be better than what we are at the moment."
  15. Thanks a lot for that Mike. I like to be on the forum when the game is on so I want to be able to watch it from my computer. I prefer to have music in the background too kick out any worries. Cheers for the link.

  17. Well he will play at left-back. Drop Lescott/Baines and put him in. Push Jagielka into the midfield. I like Jagielka when he's going foreward I would like to see him out on the wings or maybe at defensive-midfielder when Phil Nevillie isn't in the team.
  18. EvertonTV is paper-view though isnt it? I'm wondering whether there is a streaming site that will allow me to watch the game for free. I remember last time when we played at home there was some random site that was posted in the '1st Leg' Thread and most of us were watching the game on it.
  19. Another great post Jamie - Does anyone know where there is a live streamer like the home leg? A link would be much appreciated.
  20. Good program about normal everyday folk, there are many that will not be recognised but its great for those heroes that are. Among the winners was an army-guy who dove on a grenade to save his mates. He managed to survive the blow due to packaging and armour in his uniform and then proceeded on with the patrol. Others included a woman who had raised over £45 million for a Breast Cancer Charity and a man who had saved a teenager from a savage dog attack that would have surely lead to the teenagers death. Excellent program and one which deserves full attention, good to see everyday people getting awards rather than the odd useless celebrity that wins Big Brother.
  21. The Everton midfield artist and South African international reported at the police station of his own accord later that morning and was arrested following Sunday morning report that a woman had been assaulted in a flat near Sefton Park. Other than Pienaar, another 26-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the assault claim but has been released on police bail awaiting further enquiries, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman has said. Steven Pienaar who did nothing to save Everton from the slaughter by Liverpool last weekend has been under the weather following the alleged incident. Pienaar, who is currently on a three-year deal with Everton until the summer of 2011, is out of action while recovering from a broken toe. Bafana Bafana and Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar is in the clear after being arrested on suspicion of assault in the UK on Sunday, The Times reported on Thursday. The 26-year-old player, who is sidelined because of a broken toe, was alleged to have assaulted a woman at his flat in Merseyside, Liverpool, at the weekend. Police were called to Pienaar's flat early on Sunday after the woman laid a charge against the footballer, from Westbury in Johannesburg. Pienaar handed himself to the police later in the day. He plays for English Premier League side Everton, where he is one of the club's most popular players and has been affectionately dubbed "Peanuts" by fans. Glad to have him back though. He's a real good player for us and one who I think we have certainly missed. Phil Neville has been the only player that has even attempted to cause havoc down the wings. Pienaar is quick, flexible and accurate with his control. He's one of those players that you know when he gets the ball he's going to do something with it, he reminds me a little like Manuel Fernandes. Full marks for handing himself into the police. Like Droobie said its better to do that. If the police had come to him then he could have been in thier longer and could have been given a sentance. He also deserves credit for having a friend named Bafana Bafana.
  22. I understand what you mean. What's done is done. Moyes has had a bad summer and he needs to accept that, and I think he has. And I think that we need to snatch off the hand of Ambani and get some quality stars into the team (Messi, Kaka, Hargreaves) and start to challenge for the title of the Premier League. We need to stick with the team - we need to show our support and live up to our reputation of the best supporters in the league. Following them all the way - COYB.
  23. The attention to detail throughout never fails to impress, whether it's the score boxes that are tailored for each different league, the excellent commentary track from Sky Sports's Andy Gray and Martin Tyler or the improved player likenesses. Each major team has its fans' chants reproduced -- find yourself in command of Chelsea and you'll hear 'From Stamford Bridge to Wembley', and bring Manchester United out at Old Trafford and you'll hear a chorus of 'Glory, Glory, Man United'. -IGN I've always liked that chant thing and I'm glad that it's returned in 09. I always liked being 3-0 up at Goodison and hearing 'Kopites' and 'If You Know Your History' being sung from the terraces. It was a nice little feature and one which made gameplay more fun. I was just dissapointed that they took out the feature to mock the opposition, where once you had a 3 goal lead you could string together five or six passes and start to hear your fans cheer everytime a pass was completed. I wish they could have brought that back for 09. We'll see tomorrow - I'll write a review after a few games.
  24. We Are Broken (Paramore) I'm gonna go back to school today but I'm dropping myself off I'm throwing the childhood scene away I'm through ripping myself off I'm done ripping myself off Nice song aswell Jamie (:
