  1. We were due to play them as the secong game of the season. On the 19th of august i believe but we had a first round europa league match against sigma that week. The have to reschedule the game and my guess is due to our european commitment, the havent really figured out when is the best date to reschedule it. If we do go far in europe, i am guessing the match will be played towards the end of the season. I maybe wrong about this though.
  2. How did saha get sent off?
  3. Johnny Heitinga has arrived at Everton's training ground for talks. It looks like those earlier reports in Spain suggesting he was not keen to go to England were wide of the mark. However, it does not look like the Toffees will be signing Ever Banega from Valencia. Saw this on Soccernet.
  4. I do believe Overseas clubs can still sell players to England as England's window is still open however they wont be able to make any signings.
  5. How are we doing? Again, stuck with Soccernet GameCast. I really need to get more internet credit.
  6. This is a joke right? I am gonna wake up and find out the season hasn't started yet.
  7. How bad is it guys? I don't have enough internet credit to watch a stream. "Watching" it thru soccernet gamecast.
  8. The last time we lost to Arsenal at home on opening day(4-1) we went on to be 4th. Lets hope this spanking wakes us up and we go on to have a great season. COYB!!
  9. Rubbish. Pure and simple. Why did they bother turning up for the game at all? To hell with this game, i am off to bed.
  10. I knew it couldn't be true. Anyway, the commentary was the most biased commentary i ever heard.
  11. I saw the game on Espn and i must say, hibbert was no where near picking up the man when MLS scored! Yobo did look abit off but i am sure it was just one of those games for him. Saha did look really sharp and took his goal well. But Howard was in sensational form with the saves he made. Even when Donovan struck the post in the six yard box, Howard made himself look big and it might have put donovan off. And the strong hand he had for the penalty save was class. I liked phil's little penalty celebration. Apparently according to the commentator, it was his first ever competitive penalty.
  12. One of the best managers to ever grace the touchline. He will be missed.
  13. I do believe it is eight trained within the country out of which 4 came through the club or something to that extent. Back to the topic, eidur is just too old for us. what is the point of getting him and 2 seasons down the road we need someone else to replace him. If we want a proven striker, one whose age is no more than 27-28 is the best. At least we can get a good couple of seasons out of him if he consistently bangs in the goals.
  14. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/ju...player-clearout I expected some of the players to be leaving now with the likes of Kaka and Ronaldo there. I wouldn't mind seeing some of these players play their trade here next season! From the list who players do you guys thing we have a shot of getting any?
  15. I really hope its Sydney! It would be awesome if they come here. Hopefully Cahill gets to come back to his hometown!
  16. As much as i would love to see moutinho at Everton, i don't think we should spend the bulk of the transfer money on just one player. We need to get a couple of players who are good.(moutinho would be in the category of very good) We need strength in depth and quite frankly we been running on a small squad too long. We need the luxury of being able to rotate players every once in awhile. Honestly, it maybe a good thing we are out of europe at this point because we may not be able to play so many games without rotating our players abit. Look at the teams above us. They have a healthy squad size and thats why they are up there. Hopefully we can sign another cahill or arteta-esque players for the same value. But if we can do that and still afford Moutinho, then sign him up! Either that, or we can hope some really rich billionaire buys us over.
  17. I have to agree no one player sttod out when everyone played well. It was hard to pick so i thought i'd give it to jo for scoring twice on his début and giving himself enough confidence to hopefully find the back of the net regularly.
  18. Howard made some top class saves that kept us in it. Could have lost more if ti wasn't for him. Shame about the penalty, he almost could have gotten his trailing foot on it.
  19. Easily Jags. Good thing we didnt lose. I lost a bet and had to watch the match in a pub full of red shite! Over 50 red shite and me the only blue! Though it was awesome when we scored. I was the only one screaming!
  20. Warm hello to everyone. As the name suggests, I am a toffees fan from Singapore, but i am currently living in Sydney. Been supporting the blues for over 15 years and Paul Rideout's goal in the FA Cup final will always bring a tear in my eye cos i was watching the match with a room full of man shites!! Hope to have a good time here! Cheers!
