the argument about the ice caps. your right if the whole of the north pole melted the water levels wouldnt raise at all. because the ice is already dispersing the water. however if the ice in antarctica and greenland melt then it would raise the sea levels as it isnt already displacing the water. its like opening a tap and fillling up the glass which you used to melt the ice cubes
