The Worrying Thing About Hiddink At Chelsea And Cahill!
Raccyboy replied to evertonblue's topic in General Everton Discussion
bullshit! as good as he is for us, it would be a big step backwards for chelsea - besides where could he possibly be played in that side??? -
don't agree with either of you. he committed so many fouls, eventually he was going to get booked. regardless of that I think the one he did get booked for was worth a yellow by itself. as for not booking the hull players until late on, he actually booked one of them BEFORE us and then their 2nd before ours, so not sure why you're saying that? I actually thought the ref had an outstanding performance in a very niggly match - the only big mistake was allowing our 1st goal which was an easy offside decision to see, although that is the assistant's fault. also I don't agree with the heading of this topic - while fellaini needs to stop with the persistent fouls, moyes was the real idiot here -> at 2-0 up at half-time against a very ineffectual looking hull, he should have taking fellaini off and backed the rest to be able to finish off the game. moyes -- "We thought about taking him off at half-time because of the possible problem of him being suspended with another booking. But we were 2-0 up against Newcastle and didn't win, so the most important game is the one we are playing. I made the decision, and if we could have got through 15 minutes or so we would have taken him off." so what the fuck difference if we could hold on for 30 minutes, we would probably hold on 45 minutes! as it turned out they didn't look like scoring even if we'd played another 90 minutes!

The Jealous Of Man City Thread
Raccyboy replied to MikeO's topic in General Football and Sport Discussion
seriously may get some stick for this, but fuck it, I'd be fuckin upset if we'd been bought by this lot.......man city are officially no longer a football club, just a big fat oil-funded investment fund that happens to invest in footballers. for all the shit we've been through this summer at least it's an honest living. imagine going to city of manchester stadium and being surrounded by 40,000 of these guys' closest friends and family all wearing gowns instead instead of some topless, pissed, pot-bellied manc -- just not the same. they can have their billions, give me a reserve bench full of the academy kids. -
Keegan: Will He Walk
Raccyboy replied to Jimmy the blue's topic in General Football and Sport Discussion
he's just resigned.......on SSN -
we must feel better about the state of the club cos we've signed someone who used to score for man utd even though he may hardly ever play for us?!?!? oh dear......
-
why are so many getting excited and thinking that 3 unspectacular signings increase the chance of landing a "big" name, expensive player in the next few days? if anything, I would think the chances are now slimmer and we have simply made a few signings that we've been able to attract and afford........ as for saha, way too injury-prone to get excited about......has been injured for basically the past 2 seasons ffs!

Dear Standard Liege
Raccyboy replied to Jimmy the blue's topic in General Football and Sport Discussion
...or maybe the ridiculous amount of luck you've had will run out and your performances wll get the fuck-all points they deserve!!! -
jeez, MikeO, as a massive REM fan, I never in a MILLION years expected to see their cover of Wall of Death posted in this topic!!! interesting how many have put in Oasis tracks, but each choosing a different one - could be a different sub-topic on it's own, perhaps slide away edges it for me. no bob dylan tracks posted yet, so I'll put forward Like a Rolling Stone
-
a very good sensible post - I agree, forget about this guy, we can't be spending 17mil + on a single player particularly not one who may or may not be worth the price. let's get a couple of of cheaper signings and loans and bulk up the squad.
-
I'd take him on a 6-month loan until the ship has been steadied

Steve Mclaren Gives Interview With Dutch Accent
Raccyboy replied to Louis's topic in General Football and Sport Discussion
jeeziz that is the one of the most retarded things I've seen! he was always a crap choice to be england coach and predictably f*cked it up. but jeez, that interview shows what a complete utter moron he really is...... -
agreed, if this isn't fckin CL deja vu I dunno what is.....apparently not a pen but the "goal" was over the line, and from what I've read they should definitely not be level -- those bastids going out in this round would have at least compensated us a little bit for the shitty pre-season fiasco we've had to endure thus far!

guns 'n' roses - just about every track still a classic

Andrew Johnson... At Last.
Raccyboy replied to jofanon's topic in Rumourama - Everton Transfer Rumours
not a fan, never have been. BUT, if west ham are putting a price of 18 mil on dean ashton and prices are that crazy, then we should keep johnson and tell fulham to f*ck off. he's hardly the most injury prone player, so don't see why we should let fulham call the tune, even if the medical was iffy. a couple months ago would have taken 8 mil, but not with the silly prices we're seeing now. -
agreed - and he'd cost quite a lot less than what moutinho would
-
another thought: if arteta was handed a passport and an england cap tomorrow, would he want to take it? I think not.

Van Der Meyde Completes 90 Mins!
Raccyboy replied to Mikels Left Tezzer's topic in General Everton Discussion
oh andy andy, andy andy andy van der meyde!!! would really go down in everton folklore (albeit as an oddity) if he were to somehow put in a solid season-long contribution after all the lows he's reached with the club..... -
now confirmed that west ham have signed him
-
we have the same chance of landing him as we have of winning the league this season....now let's move on from this one, there's no need to get your hopes up for something that will not happen
-
surely no one thinks we have a realistic chance of signing arshavin??? think roman will take him to chelsea, he'll feel very at home there....
-
are you guys taking the piss? he'd be a very good addition to our squad -- probably worth 5/6 million, so don't know what this crap is about 2/3 million pounds
-
no thanks, would rather stay with the status quo than become the next chelsea!
-
what a stupid bunch of pricks...I hope this is the beginning of the end for chelsea. no trophies next season, you can be sure, at which point their thick-as-f*ck owner gets bored of his toy and sells.....then what?
