I agree with you in part but I think Johnson sold Duncan telling him he had to go as we needed to money. However, I agree about your Rooney comment. He had to go to save the club and I strongly believe that he will play for Everton again before his career is over. he might be 30 but he'll still do a job.

Yeah thats a good idea. I like Vaughan because he's the best of both worlds. He's good in the air and he's quick & a good finisher. I wouldnt want us to sell him as I think he could be a great striker. Id loan him out to someone, maybe not a Prem team but a champs side & see how he fairs for a whole season.

I remember reading a story a few years back about Taribo West when he was at Derby. According to his doucments he was 30/31 or somthing around there but there was an interview with a guy from his home village (I think he was a teacher or Doctor) who said that West was nearer 40 than 30! Unfortunately my Mrs & her dad are both Leeds fans & Iv been a few times to watch Leeds play with them & I have to say Beckford reminds me of Andy Cole. He needs a hell of a lot of chances to score. I thought Baines was unlucky to be honest. He had no protection from Gerrard who was suppose to be playing left mid. Baines had to deal with both the winger and the full back. I was a little disappointed he didnt try to get forward more but then again you dont know if he was told not to?

Does anyone listen to Talksport on there way home? I left work at 17h30 yesterday & Adrian was in a discussion saying that Arsenal fans were delluded if they didnt want Milner to replace Fabrigas. He started to mention about Arteta and Ya ya Toure (sp) as 2 players they could get to replace Fabregas yet Adrian (I dont know his surname??) reckons that Milner is TWICE the player Arteta is???? Im not that worried to be honest. Knowing professional players they tell me how agents & clubs use SSN for their advantage. For example if a player is not getting the deal he wants what better way to advertise him than make a call to SSN & let them know there is a problem in contract talks. Other clubs hear this then make enquiries about the player making his current club come up with something to avoid him going somewhere else. Its all a game in a way.
