Would be nice if Lando would stay through May, but seeing as he made such a big deal about Becks extending his stay through the start of MLS he'd look like a huge dick.
But if it works out, and I really think that it will, I'd love to see the board pursue him in the summer.
You know, I didn't see the post before me that posted the whole squad...I probably should have known, but I guess
the high dose painkillers I'm on are really taking effect.
I wanna see a few players rested for this game: Pienaar, Saha and Rodwell.
---------Howard------------
Coleman Hibbo Duffy Baines
----Bily Felli Ossie-------
---------Cahill------------
--------Jo--Yak------------
I don't really care to see too many youngsters play this one as I think that
confidence breeds more confidence and a strong performance at home against
decent opposition will put our best in a good place to perform against a
strong Birmingham on Saturday.
I think all 9 points are possible but, realistically I'm hoping for 7 points from these next 3 games. Especially if Ossie is back and can offer some more options in the midfield.
for the season I think 8th or 9th is realistic. 7th would be a stretch but also a very respectable finish. As long as we're in the top half with a decent run in the Europa and FA Cup, I'll be more than content.
Lescott leaving was far more understandable, and forgivable. His paycheck was his only allegiance to Everton. Rooney leaving was and is far more disappointing and unforgivable. But, I suppose those are just my thoughts.
Rooney/Lescott? Those aren't interchangeable. Lescott had no association with the club other than his years here. Rooney was a blue from birth.
I hope Rodders sticks around for a good long while.
thought about it a little more...i'm actually pretty content not seeing any other everton kits around. if only for the reason that once douchebag frat boys started wearing everton kits I'd have to figure out a way to prove that i actually knew everton existed before donovan...maybe i don't want him here?
Donovan has a lot more pace than Beckham ever did. If Donovan plays with the intensity he does for the US team, he'll be a wonderful addition to the midfield.
sorry i'm a bit tired and apparently forgot what i was writing half way through the post.
It should have read:
Howard
Coleman Heits Yobo Baines
Felli
Bily Rodwell Pienaar Ossie
Saha/Jo
I guess that's what happens when all you've done that past 48 hrs is drink and study econometrics.
