  1. if we've been linked with either, they've already signed for a mid table club. forget it.
  2. I thought we'd at least sign Senderos. Apparently every bit of brilliance DM possesses is left on the pitch, with none left over for the summers. I hate summer.
  3. you're right...sort of. you can't honestly believe that we can break the top 4 with as skint of a budget as we have. yeah, we don't need to drop $25 mil on a player (i can't think of any I'd have on our squad who cost that much) but you have to be able to buy someone...anything. and as this and previous windows have shown, we're absolutely broke. I've said it before, but again...what we need to be fighting for CL year in and out is 25-30mil a summer and moyes to stick around. If we had that money, i'd argue it a sure thing we're in CL the next year. Otherwise, it'll take an incredible amount of luck and brilliant form to get close.
  4. well shit, if you're going to use that logic on us, may as well close the whole rumour forum as we all really know none of it is gonna happen anyways. we're broke and we know it...it's all dreams. I'm just glad that my dreams are of much greater class than yours.
  5. i have us finishing 6th. 1. Arsenal 2. Chelsea 3. Liverpool 4. Manure 5. Spurs 6. Everton 7. Citeh 8. Villa 9. Sunderland 10. Fulham
  6. are prices inflated? sure. aught we to talk down asking prices? absolutely. should it takes two weeks to a month to negotiate for every player? NO.
  7. we need 25-30mil a summer to break top 4. All the rest will fall into place if Moyes can actually work without pinching pennies.
  8. senderos has probably signed for spurs by now. moyes, quite your flucking dithering and sign him...a few extra pennies don't need to be saved.
  9. Can you say best day ever?!?!?! I might actually cry tears of joy if that happened.
  10. My guess is as bad as any, but I'd put my money on the relegation battle coming down to 5 clubs. Pompey Burnley Birmingham Hull Wolves I don't think Pompey will survive. I'd even favor Wolves over them, that club is a club in crisis. But I think the most likely club to drop is Burnley.
  11. is it sexist? probably. does it sound like brilliant marketing? YES!
  12. It's not that he's not good enough. He's probably our brightest spot in the midfield. He hasn't played much for Benfica so Bradley (being the idiot he is) won't ever give him a chance. Even during the Gold Cup Bradley only gave him one start. Adu should have played every game in the Gold Cup and come on at least once during the Confed. The reason he's not playing for the US is on Bradley's end...not because he hasn't got the skill.
  13. Who have Spurs and Sunderland signed that would go straight to our first team? They have more numbers, but their first teams aren't equal to our squad.
  14. I think I'd put the white one (which we wore against MLS) as 3rd and the all blue one as home kit.
  15. Adu said he was younger than he was? when? Oh right, must have been when they pulled him off his U15 squad in DC. 30? He must be closer to 35.
  16. I know some of you love the new kit. I don't think it's awful, but as I'm trying to decide which kit I should get (I'm leaning towards the away) I took a peek at the training tops. Honestly I think the straight blue training shirt would be far better as the home strip. Anyone else keen to see the boys ditch the man bra?
  17. Perhaps I'm now beating a dead horse into the ground...but, with Sporting looking as if they will take an early bow from CL could Moyes renew his interest in Moutinho? Especially if (and I hope its a big IF) Lescott is on the way out. I'm sure his fee will go down once Sporting exits CL and they should be more willing to sell a player they kept for the CL. Thoughts?
  18. WHAT?!?! You're wrong...just wrong. Gosling (19), Wallace(17), Baxter(17), Rodders(18), Agard(19?), Anichebe(20). Nope...Moyesie NEVER EVER plays youngsters...ever.
  19. wikipedia says his family is worth 1.2 billion...and they can't throw us a scant 25 million? i'm hurt.
  20. This guy has got a few bolts loose. I can't see us finishing below Spurs or Sunderland, but who knows. I don't think we'll be top 4...maybe 5th or 6th again...I could see Citeh slipping into 4th and the Gooners dropping to 6th. But the who rant is a silly one. If we can manage to scrape through the season with no major injuries, our squad will be stronger...esp once jags is back. and now that we have some strikers...Jo might be key this year.
  21. can't bill start acting again? one or two gigs aught to buy us a marquis player...
  22. oh well. would not have minded having him here...not sure how intensely moyes was actually watching him tho.
  23. if he's only getting interest from us and hull...well I hope we can beat HULL to a championship player...otherwise I'll start to worry.
  24. ha, didn't see that last post...great minds think alike i suppose. hopefully DM looks up to SAF more than we all know.
  25. I hope through all the paper talk that moyes plays the same card SAF played with CR7 (now 9?) last year. Tell him straight forward that he has one more year to go, then if he (j-lo) still wants to leave next summer he can. I think in a year Lescott's value will go up, Moyes will be able to find (either inside the club or through the transfer market) a replacement for him, and who knows, maybe he'll see City suck balls this year and decide Goodison was always the best place for him. That's how I'd play my hand if I were DM.
