  1. he's 20...and YES!!! He could be great...just needs time and a manager who knows how to nurture potential (funny I think we have one of those)
  2. Defour ahead of Moutinho? haven't seen Defour play, so i really can't say, but damn.
  3. I don't think you're to far off. If lescott goes and no one else of quality comes in we'll probably end up mid table. Lescott needs to stay AND we need 2 defenders and another mid. Give those defenders a year to develop under moyes and then, maybe, sell lescott.
  4. Three Cups of Tea Greg Mortensen & Dan Oliver Relin

Just me or for 15 mil shouldn't Fellaini be blowing our f**king minds every time out on the pitch? I don't hate him, in fact I'm really quite indifferent (I think there were better buys to be had for 15mil), but I've never once been wowed by watching an entire performance. There are moments, but nothing compared to jags, cahill, mikel, jlo, yak or even baines.
  6. oh would you do that next time? it'd be great to know when in fact your posts are sarcastic. Especially for a poor stupid American like myself.
  7. Maybe belongs in a new thread. But, with talk of Van der Vaart...would y'all rather see him here or Moutinho?
  8. So in 30 years he'll contemplate purchasing the club from then defunct Anil Ambani? all while managing Thailand to draws with Sunderland?
  9. Agree 100%. Could also see Moutinho replaced by Defour in that list. But i'd be happy (very much so) if Moyes and Bill managed that.
  10. Bill keeps saying he hasn't got anything left to invest, and I believe him. But, even with our major investor being broke, why must the board sit on their hands? Is there really no way to finance summer activity through debt? Our finances have been strong (despite being meager) so I'm sure getting the money wouldn't be too large a problem for the bank's side. It seems a worthy investment as we are only a handful of players away from really fighting for trophies every year; which would increase our revenue from comps...any thoughts?
  11. Chelsea? I'd think that it's Arsenal's year before I'd think Chelski would win it. I'm sayin Liverpool will break the curse.
  12. If Citeh brought in those names, plus the others they have already signed (Barry, Ade, Tevez, Toure, Robinho, etc.) They'd be unbeatable. Even with a shite boss.
  13. I also would see hibbo go without much of a fight. But when i was picking 3, I was also considering who would fetch the most and enable Moyes to quickly find a replacement. I think it goes without saying that Ossie would be at least nominally more than Hibbo.
  14. Haven't any idea how may of you see MLS, even if just highlight reels, but Seattle's forward, Freddy Montero, is playing wonderfully. With some guidance from Moyes, I think he might have the potential to get big. dunno how much it would take to secure his services tho.
  15. Moutinho- 14 mil+big vic Hutton- 6 mil Elm- loan with an option to buy in january
  16. Anichebe: his attitude is a bigger problem for me than his little plateau. I think he'll come out of it a go on to score 10+ goals a year for a lower prem side, but I don't like him here. Agard: Haven't seen much of him, but he doesn't strike me as having the grit for our starting XI Osman: He's fine but I think money from his sale could be used to get some more speed and a better cross from the wing.
  17. thanks for clearing that up romey...I was under the impression that the MLS shirts were in fact lime green and us wearing white mad little sense really. Wow, glad you stepped in and sorted that out for us. *reeks of sarcasm*
  18. how does black and pink clash with blue?
  19. Well, I hadn't thought about the possibility of Moyes going to Citeh. I agree with Paul...Moyes will eventually take over at United (at which point I may have to stop hating them soo much ). But, given the manner in which Citeh conduct business, I can't see Moyes operating like that. I don't view DM as one to leave purely for financial gain, I'm hopeful he's not at least. I think Moyes will be around for a few more years (2-3) if we don't get investment. If we do...well then I would hope that managing EFC would be an intersting challenge for the rest of his career. (maybe he'll even get knights...imagin SDM )
  20. What about Diego Lugano...from that list of freebies, he seems to be have the most left in him. And would definitely be fighting for starts right off. Plus we need a back up for Yobo/J-lo. And he's FREE...Kenwrights' favourite price.
  21. But, they had shite for a manager. Moyes is brilliant. I would love some investment...not to be filthy disgustingly rich. To be able to sign a 2-3 5-8mil players a summer and one big (15-20mil) player plus a loan here and there would be utter bliss. It would do wonders for the start of our season, for squad morale in the pre-season, and most importantly give Moyes and our big names a reason to stay. Honestly, I agree with the thread asking the question why some of our big names are not requesting a transfer. I'm happy they're not, but most of them could increase their wages and head to a club that shows its ambition both on and off the pitch. Our ambition is clear on the pitch and is larger and stronger than most, but off the pitch it seems the board doesn't give a flying fluck.
  22. Really?!?! You can't see how people get pissed at Arry? You serious? I'll lay it out. Every time a story surfaces linking us to a player (regardless of it being a legit link) it always starts by saying that we are reported to be interested or that we've inquired about x player. About two weeks later, about the time a normal club would have submitted a bid...The Spurred Kidnapper swoops in offering Toon wages and upping the fee a few pennies beyond which we can pay. Regardless of whether the club needs the player to fill a gap in the squad. I know Naughton is the only one we've made a bid for, but there have been others that our interest has been staved off by interest from Spurs. That's why I hate Spurs. And I'm sure others will agree...at least in part.
  23. As much as I would hate to see Lescott go (mostly would hate to see Citeh get ahold of a rock in the back), anywhere from 18mil+player to 20mil would be a damn good piece of business. With that money (or even half of it) I would think Moyes would move swiftly and intelligently for a few unexpected and undiscovered signings. Perhaps even one in excess of 10mil. But, it's all speculation, and wishful thinking.
  24. I doubt that either Sporting or SL will part with their star players for cheap merely because they got the axe in the group stages. And I'm pretty sure that neither of them are willing to loan out a starting XI player to a smaller club. but here's hoping anyways.
  25. So, we're not after Moutinho, Defour, Delph, Cana, Hutton or anyone else (save Naughton). Who the hell are we actually looking at then? I wish there would be just a hint of transparency to this club. I really hope Moyes actually signs someone...God knows we need a right back. Jo is a loan, Mustafi and Peterlin are reserves at best, so they can hardly count when our acamdemy produces (at the minimum) equal talent. We NEED to build the bench at least if we won't be building on the starting XI.
