  1. spot on... Another thing, since when has he been a LB? Thought he was tagged as an AML
  2. bloody hell, I go away for 1 day....
  3. no worries mate, I understand your points and even agree with some of them, it can be exciting for small portions of the game. Overall though, for me its tedious. You can go and get a beer from the fridge come back and they'll still be passing it around. And they cant deal with physical contact, its clear as day. Theyre too eager to go down (wish my wife was as eager). Possession is a huge part of football but goals win games and bring the excitement - thats at least what I watch the game for. winning the World Cup with a record-low number of goals scored (8 goals in total). Though they also set a record of conceeding the fewest ever too, which backs your point up. But for me, they stopped people scoring (so missed on excitment there) and hardly scored themselves (missed out there too). Thats boring for me. Anyway, think we both know where each other stands on this, each to their own
  4. So at least 1 journo is making things up.... Also, looked back through the thread, he was definitely going last year from what people heard. I'll believe it when I see it. Hes an Evertonian, with 3 yrs on his contract, not the type of guy to disrupt for his own gain, is a star player here and adored by fans and team mates. If, and its a real IF, we dont get Pienaar quickly then maybe he will get anxious.
  5. time will tell mate. The Richardson rumour has popped up as a past link that would work with this one, no more i reckon. Still, neither of us work for the club so we cant say anything for sure.
  6. good article, fair without being malicious
  7. dude, Pienaar without Baines? 15m?! Come on! Not labelling your family members as lazy but this is rubbish, made up because they needed to fill a part of a page and rehashed an old 'story'.
  8. 15m for future England left back? The same player that season before got more assists/goals than any defender in Europe? In a market where English players have a premium on top of their asking fee? Behave, that gets them half way there. Lazy journalism...

    Couple of laughs.

I went to the local Indian restaurant the other day and had curried pelican; it was delicious but the bill was massive.
  10. All ready discredited it seems, by our TT Leader no less!
  11. like to keep the forum tidy, just as easy to do a search and reopen a topic than to create a new one (plus with reopening you get all the history which can be quite interesting!)

  14. thought 30m had been quoted as the spending limit?
  15. Liverpool have approached the man from Del Monte, he said no....
  16. I was speculating since Arabs, Asians and Russians are paying over-the-odds prices for players past their prime to establish markets. Tim is worth 5m still in my eyes.
  17. it would be interesting to see what money they would pay for him. If Citehs owners are anything to go by, we could sell him for 10-12m (more than reasonable thinking without heart coupled with inflated prices of the market and Arab money) which then makes it a no-brainer. However, if theyre talking 1-2m, they can go jump.
  18. be interested to see what our resident Spurs fan has to say about this. Ive never had problems with Spurs fans in general. To be honest, I reckon this backlash would be better directed at the man responsible - Arry. They were stormin through the league with 3rd, even 2nd to play for until he got his head turned by the possibility of the England job. 4th was always a gamble since you have to then qualify for the group stages. Its unfortunate that they got bumped for Chelsea but it happened. They could do a Liverpool and go crying to be let in because they deserved to be there (in the sense that they met the criteria to go through the qualifiers). All this energy for slaggin off 2 professionals congratulating other professionals on winning a CL is wasted energy. Also shows the players are bigger men than the rest. Theres no doubt they wouldve been disappointed.
  19. i meant colours suit the style better
  20. looks much better than the proposed home kit!
