  1. At the current moment in time there isn't much to choose between Fellaini and Cahill in terms of performance, both are playing way below a standard you would expect from a top flight midfielder, thing is Tim has done it in the past for us, Fellaini is yet to put together a string of performances. The novelty value is wearing off with Felliani for a lot of hs most staunch supporters, in the pedestrian way he patrolled the midfield on Saturday, is there much surprise? He will no longer be able to hide behind goals and team wins, cos we ain't getting either.

he was only pedestrian after he got booked, before that he was one of the harder workers. Tim has done it in the past, no doubt, but Screech has only been here just over a season and is young. he performances have been well below standard, but he doesnt deserve all the crap he gets, some but not all. 15 mill was a massive amount of money, but he is an investment, he will improve. To single him out is unfair.

This isnt aimed at you Hafnia, just a general response...

  2. Im going to say this here as i have no idea where else to put it. Does anyone else feel like we could have missed a little trick by missing out on Lorik Cana? ok he started slowly, but my god he would have been an ideal replacement for Carsley. Sunderland got him at a bargain price and he has an engine that has no limits, that guy is a machine and currently i feel that Everton are way too soft in the middle of the park. I wouldnt care too much against the big teams playing a 4-5-1 if there was someone in the middle, that the players can trust will keep big game players quiet. Cana did that against Aresnal, he stopped Fabregas playing (not many can say that). £5m for a quality player and someone who opitimises the 'Everton Way', was lost to a club with seemingly higher ambitions? Cana would have been a great addition and could have been the type of player to help ease our current slump by clearing up all the shite.

i agree with most of that, though i think Johnny could fill the void left by Carsley. The man is fearless and worked hard against Utd but needs better instruction as to what his position should be, playing along side Rodwell wont work for the same reason Cahill and Screech dont work next to each other, theyre too similar. 1 in front of the other would give us more strength in the centre and more clarity on where each player is playing!

  3. i would like to see 442 aswell, though im not as confident that DM will. Seeings as that is pretty much dreamland, with the resources available, i may even think of 532 (just to try something new!):

    .........howard

    Neill Yobo Distin Baines

    .......Heitinga

    Cahill Rodwell

    ........Saha

    Yak........Jo

Baines and Neill can push forward, Johnny holding the middle infront of the defence. Saha behind the front 2 because he is our only source of creativity at the moment would be a good outlet if he was dropped further back. Hull are hardly a dominant force in the centre of the pitch (or anywhere else on the pitch for that matter) so why not go all out and beat them into submission!

    4-0, why not....

  4. We've probably got just as many injuries as them, they have a bigger squad than us, so I'm not sure that's a huge help.Wont do any harm, them not being at full strenght, but I recon you will see most of those players you mentioned above playing some part, where as Most of our injured will be in the stand.

For me my money is on liverpool, huge squad, tactical manager, world class players and in a false position in the league....yep my money is on them and I hope I lose every penny B)

dude! tactical manager?! seriously? that berke will play Torres and Gerrard fit or not because hes an idiot. World class players, well most of them are injured so i think thats a moot point (unless i am right with the first point). their league position is a reflection of how theyre playing, ie shite. despite our dire performances we are only 5 points away from them, because theyre playing about the same as us at the moment. and that huge squad is full of nobodies, so again moot point...

normally i dread playing liverpool because we quite often get embaressed. but at the moment.... well, i dont fancy us but im more confident than usual. again, it depends if we get people back (Billy is back i think, hopefully Stevie P, Pip and Ossie too). I would like to see us play 442 aswell, Yak and Saha are both 20+ goals a season, IF they get the service. So yeah, more optimistic this time. Im with Reg...

  5. honestly, there were a few people who impressed (well... more so than the others in that rather 1 sided game). Johnny played his heart out, Felli was giving a good go before his booking but died out afterwards, Saha was his normal busy self and the Yak looked good. thought we played much better in the 2nd half (stating the obvious but heyho...) with more to aim at up front, seemed more hungry too. Hope DM plays 442 again against Hull. if we play like we did in the second half against Hull, we should waltz through them.

anyway, vote is going too......... Johnny.

  6. Not sure theres a place for Rodwell when Phil comes back, would rather play a more attack minded player upfield a bit, Cahill, Osman, or Fellaini.

Non have been setting the world on fire but i'm sure they would all prosper with a fully fit squad.

Rodders needs to to be brought along at a slower pace. IMO. ;)

completely agree which is why i put a / between them (one or the other!). I still think Rodwell will get a fair few games though this season. Either way, its a midfield to be excited about!

  7. OneRepublic - Waking Up (Album)

i saw them in Amsterdam last year, very good live. i wasnt that bothered until i heard them live. Check out Air Traffic (Empty Space is incredible, but needs to be played loud even though its a quiet track) if you like them, or the 747s...

im listening to the "no repeat guarentee" on the radio. why they dont apply it to the whole week i dont know, its no repeats in 6 hours. with all the music available, i should bloody well hope not! (i have to fly again today, so im a little more grumpy than usual...)

  8. i cant wait to see him back and im looking forward to become one of our all time greats, which he has the potential to be.

also cant wait to see him in midfield with Pienaar and Billy. With Nev/Rodwell holding the midfield... exciting prospects!!!

  9. I like Bill and I make no secret of it. I have no problem with people who don't like him and put forward a rational argument as to why they don't like him. I do have a problem with people (few and far between on here but rife on other forums) who suggest he is in it to line his own pockets and that his search for investment is a smokescreen.

im with you here Mike. I like Bill, and love the fact that he is a blue. if you dont like him, at least come up with a decent arguement as to why not. im not going to repeat everything thats already been said, theres no point. Just dont forget, we got to where we are today with BKs help.

the mirror article is spot on too. i think that some evertonians got a taste of relative sucess, got greedy, want more and more but dont want to wait for it. i too want sucess, but im happy to wait for it, knowing that when it comes (and it will come) it will have been won through hard work and team work. it wont be a 'bought' sucess, which will carry so much more meaning to me....
