  1. FACEBOOK?!?! Actually, i wont start mentioning the ones that surprise me because i'd just be repeating most things there. Im off to orbit the earth, after a 3 course meal of soup, mixed grill with veggies and fruit, washed down with water and beer. of course a little hanky panky with my lefthand and/or getting laid before take off... i could go on but i wont!

  2. Got to agree, Baines and Peanuts play nice one twos etc and pioneer gets well fed however, Neville just gives the standard ball down the line, doesnt overlap and most of the time misses Landon out altogether and plays it long. Coleman playing there would free up an awful lot of space for Landon to exploit.

well said mate, but like we pointed out in the Coleman thread, Pip is unlikely to be dropped. It would be fantastic if LD and Coleman could forge a partnership like Baines and Pienaar. With Arteta and Screech in the midfield... Nice proposition!!!

Im for the early bidding because if at the end of the 10 weeks he's continued to be awesome then other clubs with bigger wallets may come in. Dont want to see another Arshavin episode. 3mill on current performances is buttons, even 5-7 isnt bad. Also, it looks like he wants to play for us (not just him saying it, his performances so far too), which i really like to see....

  3. groin strain doesn't normally last long, he'll be ok unless he has any other issues this week.

hopefully its a clever little trick to make the Kopites think he wont be fit! He's not mentioned in the OS injury list (not that info from there is reliable.) if that helps...

  4. Ah the joys of selection headaches, not something an Everton manager has had for years except through lack of players!

IF it was me, and based on the little I have seen so far, then I would be choosing Coleman as 1st choice rb simply because he offers the team more in attacking options than Pip or Tony whilst still being good defensively.

Quite what to do with midfield in that case is where the real headache starts, I realise that DM would not want to drop Pip altogether but perhaps some rotation in the defensive mid role may be the answer. (If it was me personally then Pip would be on the bench barring injuries)

I know what you mean! Selection headaches a bitch... :)

and who put that spider running under my replies! scared the poo out of me!

  5. who do you drop though? I would choose Coleman over Hibbo but if Pip is playing there and the midfield is playing like it is, dont see it happening (Pip wont be benched whilst he is fit), especially with Arteta starting to come back and Rodwell too (whats going on with Rodders by the way?!)

Im just happy to see theyre rewarding such a talented prospect. Hopefully its a 5 year deal so that when he starts regularily and makes the impact we all think he will, if a rich club comes knocking and we cant convince him to stay, we will get a lot for him. Cold approach i know, but realistic i think...

  6. I thought he was awesome, England will have a tough game if he and Tim are examples to the USA squad. Caught sight of Dempsey too, he looks quite tricky.

Im trying to not get my hopes up, but he was talking about how he would consider extending his stay. I would be over the moon if we were to sign him. Just imagine what he will be like when hes 100% up to EPL speed!

  7. its wonderful to watch! my uncle upped his bet to 100CHF now from 50 because they won (bet is that we will finish above them). Theyre so fickle!

Im torn between wanting Rafa to leave or not. Of course i want him to stay so that they continue to fail but at the same time sacking him will cost LFC a fortune meaning they will have to sell their players and then hopefully spiral into administration and relegation (i can dream at least!).

  8. I forgot that this a was a cup game, I think we'll be even more up for it. I think also the news that Mikky, Rodders and Jags are not far from coming back will also add a bit of inspiration. I'm expecting 3-0. Saha, Felli and Donovan. Tim Howard will also save a penalty.

bloody hell thats one heck of a precise prediction!

Im going with 2-1 to us, Donovan with a last-gasp winner after battering them all game. keep the same team.

  9. im saying no purely because i want to see our name on the chairs. I know it makes sense to share and that some of the fiercest rivalries on the continent share grounds but i dont care. i want a stadium that is home to Everton. would you move in next door and live with your neighbours? i dont think so.

Was there ever any thoughts about Switch Island? I know its a little out of the way but from what i remember (i havent been there for a while so forgive me if im wrong) there was mass of open space at the end of the M57 and M62. Plus there's an Asda nearby that Tesco's could steal business from i think!

  10. cant see it happening to be honest. Peanuts will sign a new contract, so will King Louis (i have a feeling he will want to repay us for giving him the chance to restart his career) and Arteta / Jags wont be attractive to anyone until theyve proven their fitness. I wouldnt mind seeing the back of the Yak but other than that cant see who would leave. If we do try to cash in on someone, it could be Peanuts but more likely in my opinion to be Rodwell.

I think a lot of it hinges on our progression in Europe more than the leauge/ FA Cup. as for 12 points off the pace, thats nothing that we cant handle. This time last year we had just started our run of form too. Others above us (Sunderland, Brimingham etc) will stumble and finish mid-table. Spurs and Villa are the only real threat and im not inculding the Kopites in all this because i still think we will finish above them. Might be the lack of sleep or the fever talking, but im feeling positive!
