I think that Nyarko is ultimately right. Naismith has come in and done well but if he is going to be the future of EFC then we are fucked. I know people arent suggesting that as such but he should really be a squad player at best. I ike his movement, I like the way he finds himself in the right place at the right time and he is a reliable finisher but his touch can be hot and cold, he is slow, he isnt as effective in the air through the middle, he isnt a great passer of the ball and whilst I think he can see where the final ball will end up, I dont think he is that good at putting the earlier pieces of the jigsaw in place. I think he is the perfect cover/bench player for us but lets not get carried away.

I dont know what it is like at the game itself but over the TV it sounds no different to last year. I think the atmosphere at football clubs in general are getting flatter and flatter and its not like we were playing exciting football last season or the season before that. Its the concept that our football wasnt slow last year which is making me laugh. We played the ball around then offering no threat too. Only once we had got so far last season we would turnover the ball with a pointless cross or direct ball. I for one would much rather we kept hold of the ball and kept pressure on the other side.

Im not sure what to make of Hughes yet. He has talent but doesnt get involved in game enough for my liking.

Pienaar did well from what I saw in helping our build up play but at the same time he did slow the game down and chose the wrong option on several occasions. He is bloody frustrating but at the same time he would be one of the first names on the teamsheet.
