Bakayoko has gone too as a result.

Im really not convinced Kovacic will suit this league based on what I have seen of him and Fabregas isnt getting any younger at 31.

I expect Chelsea will largely rely on Kante and Jorgino but that 3rd spot will be up for grabs for sure. I do doubt he will play every week but then I also doubt the others will cement that spot either.

I think Kovacic immediately looked a level above pretty much all of the other players on the pitch when he came on yesterday. I'm pretty confident he'll cement that third spot pretty soon.

No, and I now see we have plenty of young players in the 33, so no problem.

Well, except for the potential problems with players not wanted — Martina, Bolasie, Besic (?), Vlasic (?), Sandro (?).

Maybe a deal with European clubs for 2 or 3 of these?

CSKA Moscow are interested in Vlasic according to Paul Joyce.

A few made it out of this group.... Coutinho again had made 13 seria A appearances (europe) plus 6 champions league appearances and a supercup appearance.

Casemiro had made 21 seria A apearances (presumably Brazil).

That is as much as I could be arsed to look into!

The 2007 U21 world cup winning Netherlands are a famous example of youth cups not being that indicative of future success as well. This was the starting eleven:

    GK 1 Boy Waterman
    RB 2 Gianni Zuiverloon
    CB 4 Arnold Kruiswijk
    CB 18 Ryan Donk
LB 5 Erik Pieters   Substituted off 89'
    DM 6 Hedwiges Maduro (c)
CM 8 Royston Drenthe Yellow card 9' Substituted off 78'
    CM 11 Daniël de Ridder
    AM 10 Otman Bakkal
CF 13 Maceo Rigters   Substituted off 69'
    CF 9 Ryan Babel
