  1. Thought AJ was a handful last night, just lacked a bit of height with 2 or 3 crosses! What an atmosphere tho. To bridge the gap its simple, keep going as we are and steadily we'll get there. As long as we make progress each year i'll be more than happy. Ive missed somnething...why was cahill not involved?
  2. Hate to say it but think it's more in the RS hands than ours. I'd like to see some bookies odds on both happening, could be worth sticking a few quid on it!
  3. On the up-side, if yak does play again (ive no doubt he'll be straight back after reading), he'll be desperate to make an impact. If i have a bad day at work (most days), i often think about my last job cos it really took the piss. It helps me to keep goin...so my message to the yak is...do you wanna go back to boro?! (thought not, so pull your finger out)!
  4. Surely that answers the question for now though - he aint playing v reading and the rest (eg fine, brann etc) is to be decided over the next few days. DM had no choice, we have a happy camp right now and it would put out the wrong message if he just accepted the Yaks behaviour. I dont like it but i agree with it.
  5. Hard to put a figure on it cos of loans/free's (do we ever get any?) etc but i'd say £20m/yr for the next 5 years is failry realistic and would at least keep us in touch with top4. Also depends who we let go.
  6. ..but that could mean captain marvel doesnt play howard jags yobo lescott baines carsley arteta Fenandes cahill yakubu johnson
  7. ...and we look forward to seeing you on crimewatch!
  8. Tha Yak just scored! 1-0 (penalty). We'll cope without them both for another few weeks!
  9. Lets keep an eye out for the DM autobiography!
  10. Not too clued up on the overseas leagues so i'll pick 3 from the prem: Van Persie (injury-free)! Ronaldo Joe Cole ...sure we could find space in the team for these mugs!
  11. Makes the vote seem a bit dubious when you get responses like this. I know we cant talk for all blues but it just makes me personally doubt whether the vote was; 1) tampered with in any way, OR 2) aimed at people with other motives for the groundmove (to kirkby). Of all the blues i've spoke with since kirkby reared its ugly head, i honestl;y dont know one that is in favour... <_<
  12. Sorry guys, nobody likes a smart-arse but when it comes to your footy club sometimes you gotta put people right!
  13. Good stuff, spot on. Think someone should point out one error though!... Everton, formed in 1888, were founder members of the football league. Their honors read:- (1878 or 1870 if you count 'St. Domingo's'...I think anyway)
  14. 1. kings dock (oops, sorry...i'll start again) 1. Scotty Rd 2. Re-do Goodison 3. Neither of the other two options thanks so can't even put them in order! What's the situation with all the houses surrounding GP? Do we own enough yet to have them demolished to increase the area?
  15. So after 10yrs if chang decide to pull out of the stadium deal where does that leave us? We could end up changing name every 10yrs. I suppose this is the case with the emirates and reebok etc etc etc but this is the part i don't like. We need a name that will stick around for another 100yrs!
  16. I'm new to all this. I've got a newish PC and being paranoid, dont want to put anything memory-hungry or potentially harmful on my hard drive. Are there any downsides to sopcast, myp2p etc? If not, why doesn'y EVERYONE do it? Ps, i've got windows vista, 1gb ram, 2ghz amd athlon processor (in case this helps) so any advice appreciated. Ta
  17. ...Would look bloody great tho! Why dont we just buy the echo arena and re-size/re-shape it?!
  18. As far as i was concerened, the rebuild option had been scrapped a while ago.
  19. I agree he wasn't great but we paid buttons for him when he was a kid playing in scotland so it was always a bit of a gamble. If it's 5.5 or 6mill then yeah, that would be a good deal but lets not forget this bit of play which could help us write a bit of history: Cheers Jimmy!
  20. Couldn't resist sneekin a peek!.... Good on ye Micky!
  21. Was at that match (3-o defeat)...painful!
  22. So what's your criteria for being a legend or did you just want to post for sake of posting? Many would class rooney a legend - 2 seasons Andy Gray - 2 seasons Dave Hickson - 4 seasons Gary Lineker - 1 season Tommy Lawton - 2 seasons Fred Pickering - 3 seasons Mike Trebilcock - 2 seasons
  23. Had that had-tirck come against the shite he'd probably be automatically classed as a legend! Really tho, to be a legend requires 3+ years of being on top of your game so a long way to go but if he carries on.......who knows.
  24. ...and the shite in 9th! If only. Goes to show tho, in fact all the 'actual' top 4 teams have more pts than they should according to that table (except man u). Funny that in'it!
  25. Gotta be a centre def but can also see us approaching fernandes (if things arent goin to plan in spain). Reckon we'll get 2 in on loan.
