  1. Got found out big time by most of the other teams last season though. Baines still had something to offer the team, Pienaar didn't and ended up having a horrible season. I don't see Pienaar being anymore than a bench player this season, depends if Martinez still strengthens in midfield and where
  2. I put him in my team because i don't think it will be long before he is the no1. Look how much Martinez has talked him up already, he clearly rates him highly.
  3. Even when fit Anderson has done very very little. He always looks unfit and off the pace, i don't think he's a Prem player at all. Id rather we looked at someone like Luiz Gustavo of Bayern. Apparently available for transfer, only 25 years old and i reckon would coast the same as McCarthy would.

  7. Would be interesting if they did trigger it. Barca are in a bit of a mess at the moment by all accounts. It's kicked off because Neymar is on a higher wager than Messi, Thiago got sold despite being labeled "one of their most promising stars" David Villa going, and other departures, could be one to watch.
  8. Lot of talk about this player at the moment but he sounds a bit of a tool. Also the shite and spurs are interested which means wages could go up beyond what we could pay him.
  9. Im not so sure, Jose plays counter attack most of the time, and Mata hasn't quite got the pace some of the others do. Still based on last season it's madness,
  10. Have to say out of the two i would always have picked Ba ahead of Cisse, hopefully this stays in the twitter rumour section.
  11. Id like to think he still want's to bring a midfielder in?
  12. LCAB only worked when Moyes was here, there was no doubt he clearly knew someone(s) within the camp. If you notice since Martinez started he has been very quiet about stuff and posted very little which suggest HIS source has possibly gone? John Merro is just one of Greg O'Keefes mates from what i can gather. The only reliable EFC itk source seems to be THT(there have been some suggestions that a youth player maybe involved with this) seems to be really on the ball all the time and sometimes Fourth Official(although a lot of that is just reposted stuff from foreign Journo's)
  13. It's basically saying we have a deal lined up for Siqueira should Baines go. Someone with better Spanish lingual skills can may give a more accurate translation
  14. I can't believe Chelsea are prepared to let Mata go, he was probably the best player in the league to watch last season.
  15. Chelsea offer Luiz or Mata + £10m for Rooney
  16. Dunc was more of a cult hero rather than a legend imo. Based on Cornish Steve's criteria id say Moyes only fits in with 2 of them. -Longevity, well he's had that. -Club over personal ambition? not so sure about that one, he made no secret to the likes of Neville(by all accounts) that he had eyes on the OT hot seat at some point, and i still think an element of tapping up has gone on, aside from him seemingly running out his contract to get to this point and clearly in his meeting at Fergie's house he didn't give us a second thought when offered the post. -Strong bond with fan base. Id say it was and has always been fairly mixed towards Moyes -When his name is mentioned. Well it will be mentioned with Everton until he achieves something with Untied imo.

  18. I wouldn't say we are low in midfield but i don't think we are a unit either. Gibson will always have fitness concerns, Osman, consistency, Fellaini(see Haf's post above) and i've never hidden the fact im no huge fan of Pienaar. Loan Barkley? that's just crazy might as well just sell him at least he would bring some money in. Martinez should be looking to build a squad round the likes of him and Coleman. I really don't see the point of continually loaning youngsters, if they are NOT good enough to play first team, then they are not ever going to be. It's ok at 16/17/18 but after that they should be involved with first team imo.
  19. This is Moyes 4-4-1-1 not Fergie 4-4-1-1 huge difference, lets see how he gets on once the season starts.
  20. No it's not on topic and no i didn't miss your point i just forgot to mention a bit about the youth thing in my post I actually don't think it's as bad as people make out, yes he could have given a few more chances to some, but overall it's not so bad, and we have a healthy group coming through by all accounts.
  21. Some may say your "blowing him out of proportion" all the time is like groundhog day Matt. Moyes took us from a dark period under Smith and made us into a good solid team. We have taken part in deserved top 6 finishes including a top 4 finish earning us a CL place. However Time and time again season after season we sat back in games after going 1,2-0 up then completely fall to bits in the second half resulting in another draw. I think we should have finished in the CL at least 2/3 times under Moyes if it hadn't been for some of the draws. Cup competitions, the derby games. At times we could have done so much more imo. However Moyes deserves and gets full respect for doing what he has done under the stewardship of the Kenwright regime, there have been some great games and we have seen some great players under Moyes, he has been a good solid manager for the club at a relatively tough time and seen them through it, but to call him "great" and label him "one of the clubs best" is ever so slightly pushing it imo. At the end of the day its about opinions and no ones is right or wrong.
  22. Love it!! Borussia Dortmund FF ‏@BVBfansFF 34m Henrikh Mkhitaryan: "Liverpool have had a great past, but Dortmund have a great present"
  23. I have been waiting for this to happen, i said the United fans were going to be in a for a shock with Moyes, experiments or not, he defo won't last the end of the season playing 4-4-1-1 at United, this is the big leagues now Davey, and it sounds like the other team deserved to win. Not our problem anymore, we are looking forward to our new super attack under Martinez.
  24. Sorry to disapoint, Merro has proven himself to be weak source in the past
  25. maybe, but it the same time i want some who is going to concentrate on playing for the team instead of laidies and nightclubs, seems that's were Vellio's has gone wrong by all accounts. On the pitch im in 100% agreement with you, im fed up of nervous players.
