When is this, Wednesday ?
Only to say, hope that Martinez fields a strong starting XI. All he has to do, is put out our best eleven for each round, and that way, we'll have a damn good chance as anybody to go all the way in this competition.
Fulham away is always awkward. No wins between 1966 and 2009 and I got to be fearful about this. I don't care if we've played well for the most part up until now, some things just aren't meant to be. I think it will go to extra time and then the lottery of set pieces. Wish I could be more hopeful.
Fulham 1 Everton 1 (west londoners to get through by way of PK)
It's Tuesday Dalziel.

Just goes to show that people don't always read the statistics page. Manchester City had a 5 - 1 win over Everton at the tail end of the 2003 / 04 season (May 15 2004 to be exact) when David Moyes was of course mananger here.
They also beat us by 5 - 0 just before Christmas 2000 incidentally, but Smith would have been in charge of that one. Maybe recall an incident on the team bus coming back with one of our players and they cancelled some Christmas activities as a direct result of it.
Moyes or no Moyes, just pleased enough with the final outcome, although City could have had a few more if they were so inclined but appeared to be content to see the game out after a four goal lead, before the opposition got one back in the second half.
But still a very satisfactory result. Just could have been better from this perspective.
They've never beaten us at Old Trafford by 4 goals.

Lol. Love the bitchiness.
Serves Moyes right for taking our player
-
No Van Persie for Moyes today.

We and others like us are there to make the numbers up, not get in the way.
Already this season there have been interesting decisions from referees regarding big teams getting decisions and others not.

Not assists but the pace and intent he demonstrated on both occasions meant that each player took a yellow... That's the sort of stuff attributed to messi and Ronaldo. Put it this way if they never took him out something would happen. That's why the players took him out.
As I speak Ray Wilkins identifies this... On goals on Sunday. Running at pace between the lines.

Barkley gets 2 assists for being fouled?

I thought he was utter garbage and a waste of any loan fee, and isn't worth a fraction of the reported 20 million. He'll never get a starting place in Chelsea as long as he has 2 feet so Jose was right to get shut of him as quickly as he did. Come January, we will need to make sure he doesn't try and fob us off with a silly 5 million deal plus Mata.
In case Mourinho reads TT lol.

It looked to me like his trailing leg, so probably a bit soft.

I was going to every home game back then, but I can't remember much about that game or many others. It becomes a bit frustrating.

Any City fans for the next 24 hours?
I hope they tear Moyes a new one.

So what is a nuggy ?

Baines is an Everton fan, he was at the cup final in 95. Apparently he did support liverpool first - even I did that until I went to my first game aged 8.
He would get a few Bob more but ultimately it's medals he will want.
That's it Haf - we're through.
-
Baines deserves recognition for his goals, but Lukaku was a big turning point.
Not overly impressed with Barkley today, and McCarthy looks out of his depth so far.
-
ARE YOU WATCHING MANCHESTER !!!!
-
Mourinho must be fucking blind
-
Baines down your throat and Lukaku round the back Pete?

LUKAKUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU 3-2

Martinez out :shaking fist:

It's a bit sad to be champions 13 times in the Prem era and complain about fixtures. I don't remember Aston Villa kicking up too much of a fuss at their fixtures.
It all looked a bit weird seeing Moyes and his coaching staff sat in the dug out looking clueless. United really were bad today, and looked like an old team. Ferguson left a really poor squad by United's standards, champions or not.
