  1. I'd like to see him win a Champions League or Division title with a mid table side.

It's great winning a race, but stick Michael Schumacher in a Lada and he will finish last. Stick them all in Lada's and my granny in a Formula 1 and she will be crowned World Champion at the end of the year. She certainly wouldn't be the best driver though.

I look upon the Mourinhos and Guardiola's as fortunate. It is impossible to label them as the best without acknowledging their circumstances.

  2.

Following a season when he was one of the league's leading scorers. It's a bit different in his case because he's building a consistent record of scoring. And talk about hyperbole. :) I'm suggesting trading one of our older players to get this younger player - adding a little cash to reach the asking price.

As others have suggested, easier said than done - and maybe it's pie in the sky. Still, there's no harm in having a primary goal and falling back on alternatives if it doesn't work out. Shoot for the sky and sometimes you get there.

Steve, I'd have quoted you had my comment been a response to yours.

Again though, let's see how the season pans out. I don't think we will ever sign him, nor Deulofeu, but what it can do is give us short term benefit and an idea of how good we can be with a scoring striker, presuming he continues.

  3. guys, Zoos beliefs are his own. Whether you disagree or not is your own choice, but no need in calling him narrow minded, questioning his education, etc. Hes not going around beating up people, hes voicing his opinion.

Im not 100% comfortable with homosexuality if im honest. I dont think its natural at all. I also dont like the excessively camp (gay or not) men who are so over the top it winds me up - dont ask me why, Im not sure I know, but it does. I dont like that its everywhere at the moment - you cant escape it.

However, I also believe that you dont choose who you fall in love with, who you fancy, whatever and I believe you absolutely have a right to dip your nib into whatever ink you like (so long as its consensual). And, back on topic, I completely believe in equal rights for everyone - except human trafficers, rapists and paedophiles. I know I should believe in equal rights for the 3 exceptions (there may be others), but honestly dont believe they deserve them.

Just because people disagree with it, and dont want to show their support of the GLBT movement, should not reflect in a negative way on the person. Its their belief. If their beliefs start affecting people in a negative way, then actions should be taken, but before then just accept that not everyone has the same stance.

Like I said, there seems to be no escape from it at the moment. I understand why its everywhere, GLBT people finally have a say and society is allowing them to exercise the right as equal people to participate in the society, which they have every right to participate in. I'd just like a bit more balance, some equality, or just not have it shoved in my face. People want to be GLBT? Fine, go for it! Im not comfortable with it but it doesnt affect me, so do what you want. Absolutely, treat them as equals. But dont flood every media stream with it, and dont promote ideas that you have to agree with it without being some facist monster.

Balance, equality, peace. Thats all I would be asking for, for all.

Matt, don't you think the word inescapable is a little harsh?

Take a walk through a city shopping centre and you'll pass many different people, all of whom can be categorized by at least somebody in a negative light.

  4. Homosexuality is 100% natural.

It would need to be manufactured for it not to be. Just like anything else in life, there are people who don't understand and make assumptions that anybody different to them must be weird, or flawed.

Some of the most wonderful people I know are gay, and to think for a second that they are in some way unnatural is just an ugly notion. There are some proper annoying people in the world who are also gay, such as certain tv personalities, or extremists, but that is simply another indication that folk can be annoying regardless.

It's important to realise the difference also between being in love with somebody of the same sex and simply feeling horny and experimental after one too many beers. Having sex with somebody does not constitute being gay. Being gay is either who you are, or are not, as the case may be.

  5. Fuck me, Toffee talk becomes University Challenge. People making mistakes with grammar are not doing it on purpose

they don't know they are doing it.

Be a nice change if people were not judged on their grammar. The only thing that matters is a shared love of Everton.

Make people welcome, who is so fucking perfect on here anyway.. I for one am glad im not. some folk act so superior.

Its not welcoming, its not polite, it embarrasses the mistake maker ( I Should know ).

These people are your fellow Evertonians so treat them as friends. Far too much of the this grammar worrying crap

goes on on Toffee Talk. It makes the site seem snobby and a clique.

I just ask that people are made more welcome. Try it, it wont hurt anyone.

    You tell them Mike.

We should all make a stand against these monsters ............ but first, please be aware that you need to use an apostrophe occasionally if you are going to get along here.

  6. just been messaged by a lad who we got chatting to on honeymoon - brother of an ex prem player... completely had enough of Moyes. big man united fan, said everything I told him is playing out like a bad movie.

he said the fans are mist concerned by his tactics

Cripes Haf, change the record mate. :dont know:

You have so much more to offer the forum that simply knocking Moyes all day. Live and let live mate.

  7. If we put in a good show a draw is a certainty with the real possibility of sneaking a win, COYB!

Our last 6 visits to Man City have produced 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss.

Our last 12 matches have resulted in 9 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses.

I therefore conclude that if City play well, they might just sneak a draw, and it's time to remember how good we are and kick their arses yet again.
