Still the best footballer I've known in my lifetime, screw Messi.
Wrong thread probably.
An amazing career and the last thing I remember is him head butting a guy in the chest.

I think Kone looked ok and he'll have his day if he keeps playing.
Not our best game, but possibly our best 3 points in terms of seeing the game out.

I gave my vote to McCarthy.

You can have unlimited international loans.
I think that's incorrect Romey.
There are different rules for long and short term players, but both have a limit.

Suarez is an amazing player. I think both he and Sturridge will form a huge partnership.
Why don't we play 2 strikers?
-
That's what RM will be doing over the next two years.
He's going to Stoke?

Naisy has amazingly quick turns. The winger comment reminded me of his Real Madrid movement. One of the best turns I've seen. Left the guy for dead.

Pigeons. Got a small family lodging in out roof and shitting all over the front doorway. Any deterrent ideas? I don't want to kill them but the ideas I've seen to discourage them peacefully don't really work (high pitch noise, water pistols, netting). The idea of a plastic bird seems to be hit and miss according to reviews, whilst shiny things dangling (like a CD on a string) aren't going to be easily installed, not to mention an unwanted eyesore!
Ideas?
A peregrine falcon
Just stuff it in the hole in the roof and they can't get in.

He is such a good player for us, really upset that this happened. At least we have Barry and McCarthy I suppose
Maybe Lundstrum will get a chance!
I have to say looking back on his Everton career that he has been inconsistent. At the beginning of last season, he looked great, then he was injured, and since then his form has blown hot and cold. It's a bit ironic that after turning his back on Ireland that he suffers a bad injury after returning for them. I hope he isn't out for long as I don't like to see players injured, but not the huge loss some fans are making out, other than decreasing our options. Certainly this season we've mostly been without him. Good luck to him all the same.

Manchester United are desperate for quality midfielders, could easily pay 30m for a top-notch player, and the manager is personally attending a League 2 game to watch a player worth about a million? What is wrong with this picture! Other than bidding to solely to push up his price, I say let them have him. We need someone who's progressed a little more than League 2.
What difference does it matter what club the lad plays for? If he is good then he's good. Even the big clubs need to scout the smaller names. Some of the leagues top players were plucked from lower league clubs.

We've given him arms around the shoulder all last season and for a couple games this season to no avail. He's behind Lukaku and Kone in the depth chart, so he's 3rd choice. Some would argue with Mirallas he's actually 4th choice. He's worth some money but it's just wasting away on the bench. Better to transfer him out and gain some money then just have him waste away on the bench not scoring goals and passing horribly in a style that doesn't suit him.
Why is everyone so sentimental about him? Who cares if he scored some when he started, he isn't now and that's all that matters.
I'm sentimental about everybody ha ha. Just my nature.

yes please sell jelavic in january. he's 3rd string now, and too expensive to be there.
Why is he 3rd string Mark?
We need a squad, and over 38 league games plus extras he'll get his share of game time. He's far too good to simply disregard. An arm around the shoulder and some confidence building words can often be key to a players performance.

There's something strange about this guy. If you Google he spends his time posting different 'tell me abouts' on lots of forums but never a 2nd post.
I can only presume it's to access the pm function.

the ingrediants ain't changed though... and most kids won't know what a marathon was. But you know what, I didn't even like that changing.
The ingrediants change every year in a football club - players come and go but the name will and should always be the same.
There have been huge brand name changes in recent times, many very successful. I'd like us to stay as we are, but if it was a choice between administration or change of name, I think I'd be willing to listen.

Bah Snickers :shaking fist:

Do we get to play with them? I'm sold if that's the case .
I fear I may have created a nickname by accident.

If he's a Scouser, he'll already be an expert on the fiddle. :Grammar Police:

He's hard as f*ck this lad.

So if Red Bull offered to build a new stadium called the Red Bull stadium in a prime location, and offered a structured business plan that would see Everton rise once again to the top of European football, whilst keeping Booby as manager, Bill as chairman, and reclining seats with a service button and intercom, not to mention half time cheer leaders and and free beer, and all they wanted was for us to change our name from Everton (a district we've never set foot in as a team) to Everton Red Bulls, you'd say no?
-
not in my life time, nor anyone alive. St Domingos lasted how long, a year right? Before the football league was founded too. Bit of difference compared to 135 years of history, with titles, cups and European past glories under the name Everton. So, in my opinion, its crazy to compare.
So we want investment, but on our terms. Gotcha
If we have to compromise somewhere then you can understand it. We want to keep our name, and investers want to promote theirs. Somewhere in the middle could be a happy medium.
What about going 50/50?
Red Everton?

the 2 teams they have previously got involved with where/are far smaller than Everton or Liverpool or any Premier League team, i doubt they would get away with the same level of re-branding and they would be stupid to even try, but a company like that brings serious money though.
What if they made a new drink, and called it Blue Moo

Talking about Baines right now btw

McCarthy has a great smile. Seems a nice lad.
