  1. We were awful today and Coleman especially needs a break as that would have been his 3rd giveaway of the season and he's been poor in recent games.

I gave my vote to Pienaar, as he looked our most composed player.

Mirallas and Osman need to pack their bags in January if they don't buck up. We are a mess at the minute, and getting away with it points wise. Worst performance of the year for me.

  2. True to my word. we visited a cemetery a short time ago, maybe 3 am, and nothing occurred.

After a while, my wife suggested there was no activity and we decided to leave. Halloween is a crock of shit.

Not even a gust of wind or a shadow to be seen. It has been a disappointing evening.

What we're you expecting? A Necrophilia session? They're dead. :dont know:

  3. Everton has three players in Garth Crooks' Team of the Week: Tim Howard, Leighton Baines, and Gareth Barry. One interesting statistic quoted at the BBC website: "Everton have won all five league games that Barry has played in for them this season, and none of the matches he has not featured in."

For me that shows what a total clown Garth Crooks is. Baines was one of our disappointing players and is starting to drift into the 'let's give it to a popular player' category.

  4. I'm with Mike, I love football as a neutral, but if Carlos Slim took over Celtic and bought Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Ribery, Zlatan and Lahm (in the realms of fantasy here but bear with me) I'd be gutted, regardless of how much more attractive it would make Scottish football. Would much rather they kept dunderheads like Brown and Mulgrew.

I can't expect a fiery knuckle dragging Glaswegian to approach life with the same poetical elegance and romance as a gentle sophisticated leader of men and lover of women as myself young Nikica. :P

  5.

    Bingo!

Never been to Turkey 'cos I'm a Greece fan and my Greek friends would never speak to me again if I consorted with "the enemy" :P. However the big Greek resorts are hell on earth for me; did Tenerife a lot of years ago and it made me suicidal.

You care what your local Kebab shop think?

You wouldn't want to walk from Greece to Tenerife either lol.

  6. I keep getting signed out without my permission and enduring other technical difficulties but in any event. I viewed the other forum link and it was adequate. Except male witches (warlocks) don't fly broomsticks so maybe you need to alter a little.

Incidentally Grand Old Team did a fine theme presentation a few years ago and were the only club page to do such a thing which was a nice idea but nothing overly spectacular. I couldn't help but have a sneak and they haven't bothered this year so seems ony a short lived idea.

I'm annoyed to a certain extent because I was thinking about this presentation recently and had some damn fine names to include but could only remember half the names to include. There was something with Anders Limpar and Gary Lineker but can't recall what it was supposed to be. Can only include for another time but maybe Danny BlackCat-amarteri could be worth an inclusion. There's so many areas to explore here - and so little time.

Who gives a toss about GOT a few years ago. I did one today but wank you very much for the feedback.

  7.

Shame for who ? I'd be delighted if he pissed off; wouldn't every Evertonian?

Sometimes you have to enjoy football for what it is.

If my neighbours flowers attract beautiful butterflies, I can still enjoy them whilst loving my own flowers. If I chase them off just to spite the neighbour, I lose my enjoyment of watching them also. Yes, I'd like them to come to my garden, but I can't afford the flowers they are attracted to.

Some folk would rather rid the world of wonder than have somebody else enjoy it.

  8.

We both know that those instances are going to happen once in every blue moon. When Baines dived, he got straight back him and ran sheepishly back in position. If it was Suarez he would still be rolling round now.

Before he came here, I never realised he was a tosser tbh. I had only seen glimpses of him and when I did I thought he looked a very promising player (not sure if I said as much on here or somewhere else!?). I would agree that some people might have an agenda but to make out that his antics are no worse than Baines, Jags, or Barkley is pushing it a wee bit!

Don't get me wrong, the guy is a pain in the ass, but he is a gifted player too, which would be a shame if he left.

  9. Several of Tottenham's first chopice players were rested tonight - Lloris, Dawson, Lennon, Capoue, Townsend, Soldado & Sandro to name just a few.

I think that Spurs won't feel the effects of tonight's League Cup game too harshly.

I didn't even know you had a match. I'm falling behind.

  10. I've not long come back from Turkey, and it was the best place I've ever been to. To say it's 3rd world is unusual. I was very impressed with the Turkish people, who I should add are exactly the same as us in every way, only work harder than we do. If you ever go on holiday and never visit their country you will be missing something very special.

That is why players might want to go there. I don't know if their league is great, but their country is stunning.

  11.

These were one off's though as opposed to a regular occurrence like Suarez, albeit like Nikica says, he certainly isnt the only one!

I personally cant stand Suarez. He is an excellent footballer, no doubt about that, and I have never been fussed about the handball against Ghana (Pip did the same for us against Man Utd once I seem to remember, albeit he didnt wait to watch in the tunnel!). My 'beef' with Suarez is that he cheats, bites, kicks, stamps etc etc and shows no remorse and even tries to act like the innocent party (he started rolling around after biting Ivanovic's arm if I remember!). At least with Keane he never tried to con people in that sense and its that manipulation that I hate the most. Its the same thing with Gerrard actually, especially after he got Hibbert sent off in the derby.

Going back to Sturridge, I always thought he was a player with ability but I didn't think he would be able to cope as a lone striker in the Premier League which was how we played when we were linked to him. By moving to Liverpool he has at least moved to a club that will bring him into the game with their passing and movement if he is up top on his own, whereas at Chelsea he looked a bit weak and naive when they looked to play more direct. If he had joined us at the time, he wouldn't be half the player he looks now (providing Moyes was still in charge). For the record thats not a dig at Moyes, more a comment on how he used his strikers.

What makes you think they are one offs Bailey?

Not being caught / punished is not always the same as not being guilty. Barkley and Pienaar spend more time on their arse than they do on their feet. The stats say they are the most fouled players, but what do other fans say?

All about notoriety. Suarez wasn't afforded a blank canvas in which to start from if we're honest. He had the wrath of many before he'd even kicked a ball over here.

  12. I see him as a cheating cunt who ruins the game, and just because there are other cheats about, doesn't make it right. I don't care how talented he is, if he needs to cheat then it's a big mark down for me

Didn't Baines get carded recently for simulation? Jags won us a penalty a season or so ago with a dive. Phil Neville was the funniest diver of all, but it was still a dive. I don't think anybody says Suarez is the epitome of a sportsman, but because he is possibly the top striker in the game he gets noticed.

  13. I was reading the RAWK forum last night and questioned how they felt our players wouldn't get into the top 6 sides in the league. I'm fine with an opinion of our players, but was curious as to how they came to discount Everton as a top 6 team, yet include themselves, despite finishing 7th and 8th in the last 2 seasons.
