What I think Moyes will play -
Howard
Hibbo Hetinga Distin Baines
Fellaini Rodwell
Drenthe Cahill Pienaar
Jelavic
What I would like to see -
Howard
Hibbo Hetinga Distin Baines
Drenthe Fellaini Rodwell/Osman Pienaar
Jelavic Straq
I think Straq deserves to be ahead of Jelavic until he proves himself, and I hope he starts tomorrow along with Osman.

England should use the pace of the Premier League to beat International opponants IMO.
A thought for Redknapp eh? I think if the side had the pace of the prem we would score for fun and give the big teams a real challenge.
-
I was bored shitless for most of it tbh and lost interest very quickly.
I feel that happens an awful lot whilst watching England... Everton did the same for the first half of the season - They had nothing to make me get out of my seat.
-
Someone on twitter said Jelavic will be back on Sat. and if not for the next game for sure. He is reliable to hopefully we will see Jelly in action this weekend.
I hope so but if we only start 1 striker I hope its Staq, I think the lad will have his best game for us in a derby.
-
why are we still slaggin moyes off for all his faults hes still the best manager we can have at the moment,he has said himself when he feels hes lost the fans and he cant do it anymore he will walk.so lets hope we can win the f a cup,and he gets some investment.
Moyes' is a credit to the club and will go down as one of the greatest Everton managers, regardless of how many trophies he's won us. I have the utmost respect for him.
-
Maybe we should just have a team of Nevilles - don't try and beat a man, don't get shots on target, dont fizz crosses in (ironically his twitter name is fizzer?), but can put the odd crunching tackle in, hoof balls clear, point and shout....
The thought of a team of Nevilles made me laugh so much.

i did'nt say he was a better player did i? i said he's done more, and anyway Drenthe IS crap imo, but thats my opinion
With the assists he's brought to the team this year I have to disagree with you there mate, although I can see why you would think hes a bit shit, he is very clumsy and selfish, hopefully Moyes can find the right balance in him to make him a top player.
-
His poor performances should have been enough to lower his morale, and is the reason he shouldn't be an automatic starter when he's fit. It's got to be earned.
Yeah, I know, still.
-
I wonder how much Tigre will want for him. I hope its not in excess of 2 mil, even though IMO he'll be worth more at the end of the season.
-
I haven't said you've said Baxter is shit, it's what I'm saying about him.
You said you wouldn't want to upset Jags somewhere or another, which I found quite funny when he's a grown man. And Jags has played DM for us and the thought of it makes me shudder!
I ment moral wise. Unless he goes home crying after ever match hes on the bench.
-
Aidan - What Baxter is is shit. Wouldn't want to upset Jags? Christ almighty; he's been poor for a while now, and he's paid tens of thousands of pounds a week so if he can't take having to sit on the bench then he's a pussy. Jags in midfield? Probably an even worse idea than having Heitinga there.
It seems like I'm picking on you here, but there's so much wrong with most of what you've said in this thread I feel like posting about you in the What Grinds Your Gears thread .
on Baxter -
"Is baxter a midfielder or a striker? I just cant seem to get my head round him he's a confusing player, I dont know where he prefers to be on the pitch or what his main strengths are, is he a passer or...?"
I never said Baxter was shit I have no idea where you are getting that from.
on Jags -
"Didnt he used to play in DM from time to time in his younger days?"
"You're completely right mate, give Duffy a chance then, Moyes needs to stop playing favorites like he has done in the past."
Thats what I said about Jags if you scroll up. To be honest your reply was needless mate.

Probably damaged it in the daft "sliding on the knees" celebration they all seem to do now (I know he's played twice since the City game).....accident waiting to happen that imo; I'd ban the players from doing it if I were in charge.
We should put them all in striped pyjamas too and build 10ft walls around Finch Farm and only let them out on match days.
-
I couldn't give a toss if He brought in the Andrex to be honest bud He'sbeen under par for some time and needs to prove He "still" is a top CB Plus as said the other two have been solid and until that changes He has no right to walk straight back into the starting 11 knowing Moyes He will but He shouldn'tHe's been used there for us a few times and He's been awful....
You're completely right mate, give Duffy a chance then, Moyes needs to stop playing favorites like he has done in the past.
yes but hes a fish out of water in midfield.
I thought he might be shit, but then again Heitinga is hardly ideal.

some strange people on here pointing the finger at distin
Distin makes me smile every time he plays. You can see his intelligence and experience game in game out and physically he is outstanding. Hes strong, has the stamina, has the height and also has pace, which at 34 is amazing. I truly think hes one of the best CBs in English football.

Yeah, not to start a PlayStation/Xbox war here but I'm on the Xbox and I'd say that's why I'm not having any problems. It's £40 to play Live for a year compared to doing it for free on the PlayStation Network but you can really see what you pay your money for.
By any chance do you play Call of Duty? Because I've heard that the PlayStation due to its poor security is a heaven for hackers who manipulate the COD online so that they can win a lot easier (e.g - Lag switches, Aimbot etc..) is that fact or fiction?
I agree, I used to have a 360 elite but left it at my ex girlfriends house (I have to say they are miles better in almost every way - apperance, menu, online and also the controllers are more comfertable to hold by miles). I used to play Black Ops on PSN and I play MW from time to time. To be honest I havn't noticed anything but Ive only been online 1 or 2 hours in total gametime so I couldnt give you a realiable answer mate. However, Back Ops was always fine online.

Just looking at the reserve stats for this season the top goal scorers are as follows..
- Apostolos Vellios (6 goals -7 apperances)
- Conor McAleny (3 goals - 5(2) apperances)
- Magaye Gueye (3 goals - 8 apperances)
- John Lundstram (2 goals - 5 apperances)
- Ross Barkley (2 goals - 7 apperances)
Credit to Vellios there, 6 in 5 , not bad at all. Scored 3 for first team too if I'm not mistaken.

It would be madness to split Johnny and Distin up they are the best central pairing we have hands down.Pre injury Jags has been in poor form for some time for me and He doesn't work anywhere near as well with Johnny as Distin does. He should be left on the bench until either of the above have a drop in form and even then I'd be tempted to give Duffy more time over Jags in all honesty.
I wouldnt want to upset Jags though, I know him and Distin dont work together but we cant forget that Jagielka is still a top quality CB. Didnt he used to play in DM from time to time in his younger days?
-
If you had seen Barkley in the reserve game the other day you wouldnt have made that comment, he was practicly invisible.
Baxter played a lot better but i wouldnt want either of them anywhere near the 1st team at the moment.
Barkely seems like the sort of player who plays well under pressure though (if re-introduced into the squad he might just perform). Is baxter a midfielder or a striker? I just cant seem to get my head round him he's a confusing player, I dont know where he prefers to be on the pitch or what his main strengths are, is he a passer or...?

Xbox or PlayStation 3?
I'm on Xbox and whereas I'm not going to call you a liar I've never had any of the problems you have mentioned. I always, always get a game first go and my players have never switched randomly. The serves have been fine to me aswell (apart from the occassional laggy game which could be down to the other player).
Like I said I do believe you but I could only put it down to bad luck because I've never experianced the problems you mentioned.
Forgot about that. Fair enough, I agree with you because at least you can still use him. With all the squads being shuffled around I thought that for some reason EA had deemed Villa not fit for the Barca Starting XI.
PS3 mate... unfortunately, what a load of shit! They're horrible...
-
I agree. But it's what happened last time Jagielka was out of the side; as soon as their was a midfield injury (think it was Rodwell) he shifted Heitinga into midfield and Jagielka was back in central defence.
Hopefully Osman or Rodwell will be fit enough to start... Or even Barkey pushing up the field?
-
The Gibson injury is perfect timing for Moyes with Jagielka coming back, he won't have to make a decision now. It'll be Heitinga in midfield and Jagielka straight back into defence .
Heitinga and midfield shouldn't be allowed to be in the same sentance together.

Elaborate.
Occasionally it takes a long time to find a match (sometimes up to 6 or 7 attempts), also, in-game sometimes players change for no reason (Ive just had a one on one were the ball got played through in the air and the oppoentens keeps came rushing out, all I had to do was a chip shot or knock it past him with ease and my player changed from Jelavic to Cahill for literally half a second than changed back - that happens a couple of times a match although fortunetly not always in 1 on 1s), the servers are also poor as sometimes matches disconnect for no obvious reason, and a winner is decided by defualt - which, also, isnt accurate.
-
I understand what you are saying but the whole game for me this year was far too buggy online. The updates just topped it off though. I've always bought FIFA but I think its time for a change, I dont want to spend another 45 quid on that piece of shite next season.
-
Gibson faces four weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury, according to reports circulating from Ireland. However, it's not all bad news because Jagielka, Rodwell, Osman, Cahill and Anichebe are all likely to return to the squad to face QPR. Jelavic could also make a return.
IMO I would rather have Rodwell or Osman in centre park ahead of Gibson. He's too quiet for me, he will have a shot or so a game which will be half decent and pick out a good pass or two but aside from that I always forget he's on the field.
Hopefully we wont have anymore injurys before we face QPR so we can have depth in the squad to travel to Loftus Road. I'd like to see Straq and Anichebe up front with service from Drenthe and Pienaar. Typing that just made me realise how much I'm going to miss Landon .
Mostly team for the rest of the season

Drenthe can be sloppy at times, but anyone who doesn't want him in the first team is just daft. If we didn't loan him this season we would be about 10 goals short of what we are on now.
