Philinsuffolk
So, a new season is once again, upon us. In a little over a fortnight the summer transfer window will close and then we will know what squad we have for at least the first half of the season. I don't suggest you forget the challenges we are facing bringing in additional players, but just set that aside for a moment. On Saturday we go out and as ever its 11 v 11. Playing Arsenal at home is a tough start but they won't fancy it much either. Lets pick up a decent tally in the first 6 games and go from there. Look forward to the game or two during the season when we hammer at the opposition goal only to find we can't grab the winner only for it to arrive in the last minute of injury time, cue pandomonium. Take the hard earned point away from home when we're not quite at out best. We have a great set of players that are talented and that have good honest commitment and team spirit. We have some good young players that are coming through and are being developed in the right way. We have a superb coaching staff and a manager that, frankly, is superb. Forget talking about Moyes in terms of being a top football manager, the guy is a fantastic leader of men. People follow leaders. We have a ground that we love (and should cherish whilst we can) and we have superb support. We are a good side and a great club. Don't you ever forget that. So, when Saturday comes, enjoy the rituals you have, whisper a quiet little encouragement for the season and then mentally take yourself into battle with the boys. Aim for the moon, because even if you miss you will land amongst the stars. Unleash hell Blues. Unleash hell...
Blue 250
Unleash hell Blues. Unleash hell... If that's too much of an ask! Can I suggest.......Baines to Pienaar.....sneaky through ball and a toe poke from Joe! ....1-0 Everton, then defend! As stated above, Arsenal would have liked an opener not at Goodison.Anything can happen, they might beat us 4-1 and we still go on to get 4th spot.....happened before! That rollercoaster is slowly cranking it's way up to the top.....Just hope your all ready for the ride down!
Bill
Well done lads, Phil and 250 see it in different ways, but we all want the best one way or another. I just want every player who puts on the Royal blue Jersey this season to give 100% every time, to look as tho he wants to play for the club, and shows us that he earns his wages. We didnt buy any stars for £22 million, we bought Championship players, and mixed them with some home grown players who have become players to be proud of. As long as they show me they are trying i cant ask for much more than that, 5th place might be a big ask this season but as long as its not a relegation fight we can thank god and think ourselves very lucky. Romey 1878
I feel nothing about the coming season at the moment, it'll probably change come tomorrow morning though.
MikeO
I feel nothing about the coming season at the moment, it'll probably change come tomorrow morning though. That makes you significantly more optimistic than this time last year then Mark . ....all hope has dissipated. We are officially a joke. Heads need to roll for this absolute fuck up, whoever is to blame needs to go. The club is plainly making progress....anger has become (short term) apathy . A good performance (and hopefully a victory) against Arsenal would go a long way to making that happen.
