Argentina 1-0 up and Peru equalize in the last minute, Argentina score in injury time then Peru hit the bar from the half way line direct from kick-off. All in horrific weather conditions at the end...huge wind and torrential rain....sure it would have been abandoned if it had been like that earlier. Argentina will qualify for the World Cup if: they defeat Uruguay, OR they draw with Uruguay AND: Ecuador do not defeat Chile by more than four goals, OR Ecuador defeat Chile by exactly five goals AND Argentina score more goals than Ecuador. Argentina will qualify for the CONCACAF-CONMEBOL play-off if: they draw with Uruguay AND: Ecuador defeat Chile by six or more goals, OR Ecuador defeat Chile by exactly five goals AND score at least as many goals as Argentina; OR they lose to Uruguay AND Ecuador do not defeat Chile. Got that ? Keeping it simple, dream scenario is Uruguay beat Argentina (Uruguay qualify), Ecuador beat Chile (Ecuador into play-off) and Maradona kills himself . In almost every circumstance other than a Maradonna coached Argentina I'd go along with you. I'd cope if Portugal missed out though .
