pete0
Only a matter of time before the daily fail would link us with a bargain from Villareal. I'd prefer we went in for Cani (as also Quinn suggested in another thread). http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2179524/West-Brom-rival-Everton-Villarreal-defender-Cristian-Zapata.html

flaminfox
He was fantastic for his old team, udinese I believe. Surprise that they got relegated with him in the squad
Dalziel Kane
Why do I know this guys name? Because it means 'Shoe' in Spanish I believe. Cue poor attempts at humor as 'we can fit him in', 'he is a good sized player', 'he could be the sole of the team', or 'he is a good runner', the list is endless. I know next to nothing about this player so looked on Wikipedia, and, Colombian, 25 years old, defender, tall, can play with either foot. All good traits for a defender and still has many years to offer, so a plausible signing, but I've never seen him play, and just wondered if a move here would really work out for this player. Can say that about most potential transfers, but above all else, you have to doubt that a move to Everton will really ever see the light of day. Probably just bored media hacks looking for a news story.
