MikeO
League table for the calendar year is (tomorrow's games to come obviously and including just the seventeen teams who've been in the league for the year)... 1st. United (93 points from 39 games) 2nd. City (86 from 40) 3rd. Everton (68 from 40) 4th. Arsenal (67 from 38) 5th. Spurs (66 from 40) 6th. Chelsea (65 from 37) 7th. Newcastle (55 from 39) ....then mid table before... 14th. Wigan (46 from 39) 15th. Liverpool (43 from 38) 16th. Villa (33 from 39) 17th. QPR (30 from 38) rubecula and Peter H

Fearthainn
It makes you a bit more confident that we can sustain a challenge for 4th place until the end of the season when you look at that.
MikeO
Most surprising thing for me is that Liverpool only have Villa and QPR behind them.....I know they're always being described as "inconsistent" but they're not far above relegation form. Dalziel Kane
Third place is indeed something to be proud of in that table, and feasibly, that's how the seasons end could look with respective teams. Would be real disappointing to miss out on a European place again, but United's 93 points from 39 games is a quite impressive statistic. Peter H
That table might look very different after todays games. Lets hope we keep third but we can drop to sixth if everything goes against us. I think its more interesting that we are up there to begin with. 3rd or 6th with almost the same amount of points as Chelsea, Arsenal etc after roughly 40 games. (arsenal only played 38?) It shows that we should be challenging for european football next year and we are. 3 points against Chelsea and third is cemented.
