joely22
Heard a rumour that James Beattie is on his way to us for £2.25 mill? Any of you guys heard anything? I don't wanna know your opinions on him because... to be honest... I'm kinda thinking the same!!
Bill
Not heard anything, but Moysey might want a bit more than that.

Blue4Ever
No, I dont want an exchange for BT if were getting rid because were in need of any money we can get for a few decent players or our European tour wont last long
Mac
I want BT to go, but not at £2.5, and I certainly don't want any Derby players in part exchange, no fucking way. ATB Mac

Mac
Never going to happen, he is their cash cow for when they get relegated next season. ATB Mac
aaron
very true mac, barnes would cost a hell of a lot more than beats. £2.25m is a joke tbh.
KillaGTiR
would rather exchange bt with Downing plus cash
MikeO
What's BT's contract situation? Anyone know?
Fosse Captain
i don't know mate but i would presume its at least 2 more years cos there's been no mention of 'contract expire next summer' but then again i could be talking bollocks <_<
GoldfishMemory
What's BT's contract situation? Anyone know? Null and void if we had any sense! I think he signed on a 5 year deal didnt he so that would make him half way through now I think!
Fosse Captain
maybe iw as right then!! can't see us acceptong 2 million tho. to lose 4 mill in 2 years is just bad business.
J*A*C*K*E*L*Z
if west ham are wanting 5 million for harwood who scored 2 goals last season (same as beatie) then surlt we should be getting 5 mill for beatie we all know he has potentail...just not with us
Adam
Dont want Beattie to stay but don't want him to leave unless we have a replacement in for him in advance. Can't afford to go into the new season where we hope for a lot longer season (in terms of games we play) than last season with only 3 strikers of which 2 are only younsters. If a decent replacement is brought in for Beattie I don't min him leaving but if it was either him and 4 strikers or 3m and 3 strikers I know what I would rather choose. (and also by the time the January windows open that 33m will all of a sudden disappeared
Fosse Captain
i agree adam. if he is going to leave, which judging by the numerous reports since january then we can only let him go if we replace him instantly. Our priority is to improve and increase the squad as with the expected extra games our small (yet very efficient) squad simply won't be able to fight on 4 fronts. We lost cahill and AJ for large parts of the season and we were only really competing in 1 competition!!!!
Mac
What's BT's contract situation? Anyone know? Fuck Contract, he should be Pay-as-you-go. ATB Mac
Heather_6
Dont want BT to leave tbh but hes now linked with Wigan for £3 mil. Could be true because its not to far to move, they have money and there buying a lot of shit recently so it could be a true one!
JimRoyle
I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about Beattie. Here was a lad with a growing reputation, who looked a proper striker to carry the workload upfront and who'd help others around him to get goals, while banging in a few himself. I was excited that finally we'd signalled our intent to solve the problem of only our midfield weighing in with goals. Instead we got an injury then that headbutt incident against Chelsea (get outta my wayyyyy) and as they say "start as you mean to go on". If Vaughan and Anichebe are ahead of him in the pecking order, I say cash in now and let's get players who can make a difference. If he starts the season with us, and we go past that transfer window, you KNOW his value will continue to plummet because he'll be talking about the latest Wii or PS3 games with his mates in the dugout.
