Oh excuses.

With a bit of luck the score could have been a lot better. Hibbert handballed. Gerrard hit the post twice. Poll/Asst. Manager is a twat and i hate our defense.

Poll

Can't blame Poll xav . we got absolutly fook all from him today and on the balance of wrong decisions that went against us then for him not to give that penalty against Hibbert was only fair .

You were probably watching the wrong game if you think that wasnt a penalty.
You're right but hitting the post twice IS bad luck.
I still think Gerrard is the best midfielder in the game and love Carra, Sami and almost all our players (that includes our defense if you dont know). But that doesnt take away the fact that they were hopeless today.

And Poll had a hopeless game. Gave us nothing.

Fair play. Although we didnt look as bad a a 3-0 loss and even though we had more chances than you, you had the better ones and took them well. I think all three goals were a bit lucky but fair play anyway.

Rafa fucked up when he decided that he doesnt want width in this game. It was Cisse's pace with split you open last time. so a huge mistake from the gaffer.

You in first place then?

Is Wayne Rooney an ugly bastard?

Where else would we be  ?

Just need Wigan to hold Pompey...then Spurs to win at Manure and we stay there :D .

Thought Gerrard was shite myself. Sissoko will be a star. That i have no doubts about it. He had a decent game i thought. Alonso was shite.

Nah, even Hibbert knew that it was a penalty.

Liverpool where muck, every one of their players looked very average, Fowler didnt get a sniff and when Gerrard didnt have the ball you didnt look like doing anything.

I cant comment on the Hibbert handbull, I only seen the incident once...from the Gwladys street end :D

I was surprised by how poor Liverpool were tbh, they had lots of the ball but never really put us under as much pressure as i would have expected. Im just waiting for the kopite pricks to say the Derby doesnt matter anyway. Wankers.

You're right but hitting the post twice IS bad luck.

Wasn't it Shankley who said "hitting the post is the same as hitting the corner flag you get nothing for either of them"

as a matter of fact we do. Our defense broke all kinds of records last year and held the one for the most number of clean sheets in a season.

We've been out of sorts this season.

leave xav alone. i know lots of kopites com on here during serby time. but xav is sensible and is just defending the team he loves. you would do the same.

btw it is good to see some RS gracious in defeat. the proper fans who admit we were better and took our chances

Good call mate , i've spoken to xav for a while now and he's nothing like those to55ers we get on here from time to time , at least he comes on with an informed opinion and wants a debate rather than a slanging match .

I see the real to55ers have decided to steer clear after yesterdays rout though

no real excuses can be made because the result was too obvious.

but the fact remains, rafa has spent a fortune since he arrived at anfield but, judging by this seasons performances, he still has a lot of work to do.

apart from a couple of periods they didnt look like they were capable of winning.

How can anyone say that poll didn't give the RS a thing?

Every 50/50 - every challenged header - all went RS's way.

Even when Fowler shoved Yobo off the ball - when Neville put one of the best challenges in against Sissoko

When Sissoko fell on the ball and stayed on top of it....

but the RS got nothing...

fuck off wankers

No RS fan can make excuses

there were far too many wrong decisions made.
Any team (Sunderland, watford etc) can keep hold of the ball and pass it around the back four. Any team can shoot from outside the box - sunday league teams do it every week. It bares no reflection on the game. Opta stats show that the RS had a staggering 21 shots...so what? Any one can shoot from anywhere...it means nothing...

You were crap - the only player that did anything or looked sharp was Sissoko and Rafa (the master tactician) subbed him...

He also played Fowler from the start....hmm....
