johnalderson
Who would you like to see with us if their current team goes down? I would love us to sign Martins and Duff when the toon go down, both are believed to want away
Everton_Worshiper
Adam Johnson if Middlesborough go down.
Finn balor
Wouldn't touch Duff with a barge pole. Martins definately though. I'd probably only take these from teams in trouble: Tuncay and Wheater.
StevO
kranjcar, glen johnson and diop if pompy go down no one from west brom (morrison looks handy though) gutierez, martins, owen, from newcastle no one from stoke downing (only on a free or super cheap) from boro santa cruz from blackburn Edited March 16, 2009 by StevO
MikeO
Wheater's far too ugly, would put a serious blot on the team photo. We can just about cope with Hibbo & Pip....Wheater's a step too far :weird:. I'd take Johnson & Johnson though .
EFC-Paul
Adam Johnson if Middlesborough go down. Out of the six possible teams that are more likely to face the drop i would take the following if the price was right: Newcastle: Bassong looks a good player ashame his best position is LB, Taylor not keen on him as a person but he is a decent player who would make a good permanent RB and Gutierrez looks a decent winger. Portsmouth: Kranjcar would give us that extra attacking option from the middle or either wing, Glen Johnson would be a quality signing great RB with pace and goals to boot. Boro: Johnson great young player with massive potential. Stoke: Not one player to be honest. WBA: Koren and Valero would make good squad players. Blackburn: Villanueva looks a decent young player with a good left peg, and possibly McCarthy depending on price as he's 31. If i could take any of those players and add them to what we have i would field this: ----------------------Howard G Johnson----Lescott-----Jagielka---Baines A Johnson------Arteta----Kranjcar-----Pienaar --------------Cahill ------------------------------Saha/Yak I know there is no Neville and Fellaini in there its just a squad that i think would be a step up from what we have now and we would have a great bench/squad of players to choose from and if we want CL football thats what we need. JohnDTraynor
Bent, Bentley, Lennon and Jenas from Spurs. Though, Redknapp will probably switch clubs and then buy all the players that helped to get Spurs relegated. And Downing, if he's cheap

Maghull70
Toon - Martins / owenboro - downing / tuncany TUNCAY even!!. As suggested by Tricky Trev earlier. I've always rated him. However some dont. Mentioned him on another forum last year and got shouted down for even mentioning him. Didnt change my view though, I still think hes class. iggy
Even if Pompey survive this season, Glen Johnson will probably go for an awful lot of money, either to the sky mob or abroad and his wages will be far too high.

chicagoblue
Tuncay, Johnson & Johnson, Bassong (as he can play as CB or LB, young, strong), Krancjar. Of those I can see Tuncay being available at a somewhat reasonable price if Boro do go down, maybe Bassong too, but the rest I think will still command significant transfer fees. The Regulator
Out of the candidates: Portsmouth - Krancjar, Glen Johnson Middlesborough - Downing Stoke - Shawcross West Brom - Fortune Newcastle - Guitierrez Blackburn - Roberts The others will prob stay up, or have a better chance of it, than these teams. Jay Bernard
To be honest i dont see what all the fuss about Adam Johnson is. He looks like a ghost and he plays like a ghost too (weak and hardly visable) .

Sorry Jay i have to agree with EW the lad has bags of potential he will be a great player in the years to come given the chance and the games i have seen him play he scares the shit out of defences when he runs at them.
