Deulofeu needs to start in the derby.

We just don't know what to do with all the possession. I like the new Everton trying to control the play and have the ball and I like what Martinez is trying to do, but we need to do something with the ball. The movement is poor and our passing and final ball have been off for a couple of games now. I trust Martinez can see this so we must be patient. The players are still learning.

Don't think Ossie has been THAT bad. McCarthy has been worse for me, maybe the possibility of missing the derby is playing on his mind. I'd get him off and Barley on. I know Ossie doesn't defend much but come on, Palace have got 0 points in 9 out of 10 matches and they're letting us have the ball anyway. Deulofeu on as well. Mirallas has been shocking but I always believe he can produce something special so I'm not sure if I want him or Pienaar to be replaced.

Barkley and Deulofeu on second half please. Absolutely no cutting edge today.

It's possible. It might be good for Barkley if Osman took his place for a couple of matches I think. Some character building for him to come back stronger and stronger mentally as his decision making has been quite poor recently.

Actually think it's a good decision today. Barkley has been poor and Osman may contribute more in defence and in helping us settle down, Villa have been all over us.

Pienaar and Mirallas have both been poor. If ever there was a game for Deulofeu this is it I think.

Villa missed a penalty, a couple of minutes later Tonev with a nasty tackle on Baines that could have easily been a red, not even a booking. Villa have started strongly, we need to slow the game down and start getting into it.
