This. I seriously hope we're wrong though. I want: Howard Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines Barry McCarthy Mirallas Barkley Pienaar Lukaku
  4. Good decision imo. Not that it will affect us as we'll be qualifying for the CL by then
  5. If you want to explore the countryside around Liverpool as well there's plenty to see. I suggest the Formby Red Squirrel Reserve, 20 mins away from the city centre by train. I also like the Another Place sculptures at Crosby Beach, which is a couple of stops before Formby. Most museums in the city centre are well worth a visit, as is the Walker Art Gallery and Tate Liverpool. I also like visiting Croxteth Hall and park. North Wales, Chester, the Wirral could all be worth a day trip too. Relatively easy to get to even without a car. Just avoid Manchester and you'll be fine.
  6. Aston Villa 0 - 2 Everton Mirallas
  7. Yeah, poor attitude from the Leverkusen players. I'm sure some of them must have been feeling confused but Kiessling in particular should be able to understand what happened.
  8. Hoffenheim must be feeling very pissed off... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZphRWW6h4Rk
  9. I'd prefer to beat them with him playing... But yeah I suppose we'll have a better chance if he's out. His diving can win them a penalty at any moment, not to mention he's likely to injure a couple of our players.
  10. Not to mention that the name change didn't involve adding the name of a major corporation.
  11. Yeah I was quite happy! Although I suppose if you barely eat for 2 days out of 7 it's only to be expected that you'll lose weight. I found that on the other days I didn't really have any impulse to overeat as well which was good. On the 2 diet days I tried to save the calories for dinner, that way I wouldn't go to bed hungry and the next day wouldn't wake up wanting to eat the whole cupboard.
  12. Very happy with McCarthy. Has to start next to Barry against Hull, just bench Ossie please.
  13. I was 90 kg after my holiday in Portugal in the Summer (not really fat because I'm 188cm tall but the 90kg mark got me scared). Started following this diet in early July, by the end of August I was down to 82kg which is acceptable. Have stopped it as I was happy with my weight loss and quite honestly I don't think it can be healthy to starve yourself twice a week, haven't put any weight on since. So in my experience it can be good if you want to lose some weight relatively fast but I wouldn't do it long term. Those 2 days when you starve yourself can also be REALLY long. A balanced, reasonably healthy diet and moderate exercise are more than enough to keep you in good shape.
  14. Fuck off you bent ref.
  15. Silva will need to kill someone for the ref to book him.
  16. Mirallas has been shocking.
  17. My apparent tone and smiley were only because of your apparent sarcasm in your first response to me.
  18. Yeah I thought what I meant was obvious but I'll try to make it clearer He must take the credit of course for finding the perfect way to utilise Messi (although let's be honest, he's good everywhere), for promoting players from the cantera, for taking advantage of the fact that they had been playing possession football since they were young, etc. These are no small feats. But people seem to credit him with creating this high pressing, possession based tiki-taka football that Barcelona are now known for, when this philosophy had been present at the club at all levels for years. Most of the players he started had already had years to gel as well (again, he knew this and that's why he selected them). As for Mourinho and "after that he was not exactly given chopped liver to work with". Well, no he wasn't, but like I said above it was on merit because he won the Champions League with Porto, and he was also given the Porto job because he did well with Leiria.

  20. Mourinho fortunate? You cannot be serious. Did you miss his time at Porto? They were 5th in the table when he got there and 3 years without a league title. He transformed them into Portuguese, Uefa Cup and Champions League winners with talent that he found in the Portuguese league. Or even Leiria before that when he took them to their highest finish in the top flight ever? Porto and Inter aren't Ladas, but they aren't Ferraris either. He got the jobs at Chelsea and Real Madrid on merit - not because he was fortunate. As for Pep you could say he was fortunate yes. He is clearly an intelligent manager and seems quite good tactically, although obviously it's difficult to assess his real skill when you manage Barcelona and Bayern. I do feel people give him too much credit for what happened at Barcelona. The real revolution at Barcelona started with Cruyff, Guardiola was just intelligent enough to use the talent available to him correctly and to put the right players in the right places.
  21. FIFA 14 anyone? I'm usually more of a Football Manager player but with Goodison being added this year I just had to buy it. I was actually a PES fan in the past but this year's FIFA is quite enjoyable.
