Yes, Martinez seemed to like it at Wigan, too early to tell if he's going to have us playing in that formation regularly though.

This would be exactly the kind of signing we need. Not that we particularly need a central defender, but Distin, Alcaraz and Jags are all on the wrong side of 30. This is a young player with a lot of potential, relatively cheap, yet ready to go straight into our starting XI if needed. Which means he'll probably sign for Spurs or something.

He was brilliant on his day for Portugal and at Porto he was very impressive in spells. Just a shame he has a tendency to sulk as soon as things didn't go his way. If only he had Ronaldo's mentality... One of my favourite players to watch ever. When he was on the ball I always expected something special. He's only 29 but he might as well have retired a couple of years ago and no one would have noticed. Such a shame.

Not a phobia but don't like most insects or crawly things. Funnily enough I quite like bees and wasps, despite being stung plenty of times when I was younger. It's mostly cockroaches, worms, centipedes and such disgusting things. Oh and things that fly in my general direction such as moths or dragonflies. Didn't like spiders before but when I find one inside these days I try and take them back out to the garden, rather than smashing them with the first shoe I can find. They're actually quite nice. Damn, I need to man up (if you're a member of Liverpool staff please ignore).

Quite happy with that, as most of you have mentioned the main worry is the sloppy passing but that will be worked on. I really hope we play Milan next, how boring would Chelsea be.

I'd like to see Deulofeu given some minutes but Naismith is playing pretty well here, move him behind Jela and get Osman off.
