That tweet doesn't say clearance has been given. It just says that not getting clearance to get in for pictures is likely a factor in the delay. Maybe there's something else I missed. But, that's seemingly just a suggested possibility (based on past observation) he's offering.

That's one model for it, for sure. But, all we have is contextual evidence to indicate what Walsh's role at the club vis-à-vis Koeman is. It seems, from what I've seen, that Walsh is some sort of chief scout and recruiter and that he works in tandem with Koeman to make decisions. It seems, structurally, more democratic/egalitarian and less hierarchical than the director of football/head coach system.

He plays like a winner. His tenacity, coupled with his skills and strength, should make him a really good premier league player with us. Also, he seems like a versatile player, which is great for how Koeman wants his front three to play. Once he signs, I will really start getting excited for things to come.

I hope this is true. He's the player that, so far, I'm most excited about. And, what a fucking coup for £5.2m

Thank you, sir. Personally, I'd rather we bought someone proven at keeper if we're going to buy a number 1 at all. This is a lot of money to throw at potential in a position where stability is all too important. That said, if we do buy him, I hope he becomes the next Neville Southall and stays with us for the duration of his prime years.
