  1. DRC and Tanzania are neighbors. There are either a lot of Congolese who travelled for Bolasie or Congolese who live in Tanzania. (Probably both). Those are all DRC flags in that video. Senegal couldn't be further away. Very little in common with Tanzania.
  2. In the limited amount I've seen of Riedewald, he looks a fair bit better than the two of them on the ball. But, obviously, he's not shown that in the Premier League. So, it's difficult to say. But, as a CB, he's got a big future ahead of him, I think. For the price, this would be a shrewd bit of business. Also, the Echo (as well as this post) is misspelling his name.
  3. I get that they aren't comparable players. This was the point I was trying to make by comparing #1 and #2 on that list. And, as I said, my issue with Sigurdsson is the amount of money we would be spending for the limited upside. I don't think he's a poor player by any means. I think he would do relatively well here (offensively, at least). But, again, I'd rather pay Barkley and try our hand at a few younger players with potential. If we spend 40-50m on Sigurdsson, he's going to be the expected starter. I'd like to see more competition between younger attacking mids like Barkley and Klaassen. Sigurdsson feels like a short-term solution that won't exactly pay for itself.
  4. Hey, I won't begrudge him one bit if he takes the world by storm and we sell him for £100m. I could think of worse business models.
  5. Sigurdsson and De Bruyne average the same number of crosses per match. De Bruyne, however, has a much better pass completion percentage and makes almost one key pass more per match than Sigurdsson. Sigurdsson isn't a bad player by any means. I just don't know that he's worth the type of money being talked about. I'd rather pay Barkley and try to find a few younger promising attacking mids for £10-20m a piece. Max Meyer is one that rings a bell.
  6. I wouldn't be interested in either. Chicharito doesn't do enough for the team. He's a poacher. Nothing more, nothing less. The price is tempting though, I admit. Of the strikers linked in the past day or so, I would want Dzeko.
  7. I actually really like the away kit. I'd like it even more if the blue was the right shade.
  8. Pity. I think he could've done well at a club like Bournemouth. But, I suppose it might be better to know that he will have plenty of chances to play.
  9. He may as well be wearing a sign that says "I lick Sir Bobby's boots." Ugh. Unbelievable. Piss off, traitor!!! (That was definitely sarcasm)
  10. Whoever came up with 40 million had to have accidentally hit "0." I'd pay 10 million, tops. I'm not even that impressed by him. Would love any of those three though!
  11. There are so many other young Mexican players I'd rather have (and likely for less or MUCH less money). Here are a few: Jesus Corona (young and at Porto. Not only a versatile player for our front 4, but also has the nickname "Tecatito"... so, 2 cerveza names. Awesome.) Hirving Lozano (young and just went to PSV. Winger who cuts in on his right foot and has a great shot. He will be a big deal. His nickname is Chucky. I can't figure that out. I really wish he looked like Chucky) Erick Gutierrez (young, still playing in Mexico, can chip balls up the pitch like Gibson could, but offers more athleticism, a great shot and isn't hobbled) Orbelin Pineda (young and still in Mexico. Scrappy, tricky, box-to-box player) Jesus Gallardo (left back/left winger, young, still in Mexico)
  12. I think we can be fairly certain that Everton weren't the only club in for Sandro. Once the clause is triggered, it's up to the player where they would like to sign. He could've stayed at Malaga if he wanted to. He could've gone to any club that met the release clause. So, it would appear that we offered him the best combination of things that he was looking for, whether that means wages, opportunities, career prospects, concubines, etc.
  13. I have no clue why Leicester don't play him more. But, it's not for a lack of talent or offensive threat. He's always dangerous whenever he comes on. That's why I think he needs to get out of there.
  14. Yes, please. The kid is already good. He's only going to get better. He's being wasted at Leicester.
  15. Can somebody print up t-shirts with a picture of the contract nonce on them to commemorate the summer 2017 transfer window?
  16. It's a good thing that I'm sitting down. All this excitement has got me dizzy.
  17. I know it's laughable. I was just giving rational possibilities. Whether or not any of them would come to fruition is another story.
  18. Possibly because the clubs offering to buy aren't clubs he would consider going to and United would rather get the wages (or a big chunk of them) off the books so they can keep rebuilding. Possibly because they would also want to do good by him for being such a big part of their success over the past decade or so.
  19. I don't think it will. I don't think anyone is under the illusion that we're getting the Rooney of a decade ago. He will most likely come in, score a few goals here or there, be a great commercial booster for the club, be an experienced and respected head for young players to learn from, and start to heal over some old wounds amongst the fans.
  20. http://amp.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/06/30/report-claims-arsenal-everton-interest-in-tottenham-linked-karim/ We're linked, along with Tottenham and Arsenal. Would be an exciting option on the right wing.
  21. I should say that this account likely is a fake.
  22. I don't think Muriel has the best stamina in the world. But, he would be a great addition to our attacking options.
