  1. Holgate never fails to impress me. So composed for his age. But, Pennington needs to get to fuck.
  2. It seems like I'm saying this in response to the goal. But, I just don't rate Pennington, and he's the one I'd pull first for another outlet in midfield.
  3. I honestly don't expect Schneiderlin back until after ManUre, at least. I'll be happy if he is back, of course. But, I'd much rather make sure we have him healthy for the rest of the season, rather than risk him in games we're frankly a lot less likely to win.
  4. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. Fucking Ireland.
  5. That's one sexy lineup. I'd be replacing one of Williams or Jags with a new face. But, that would be wonderful. Alternatively, take out a CB and go with a 4-2-3-1. We could then have Gana-Schneiderlin as a pair, a rotation of Barkley-Rooney-Davies in front of them and Rom up top. I know there aren't any wingers in there, but we've looked pretty damn good without natural wingers recently, anyhow. The point is that Rooney gives us plenty of options in addition to being great for the club commercially, great for our young players and a possible piece in the puzzle that raises our profile for bringing in other big players.
  6. I really like Bobby Wood. He would be an excellent backup. He works hard and the ball seems to stick to him. He's got a lot of potential to grow his game, too. I think we're starting to see that.
  7. Rooney would easily get into our XI often enough. And, though he isn't the freak he once was, he's still a damn good player who still loves this club after all that's gone on. There's a role for him here, and I have a suspicion that he wants to do good by Everton. Like StevO said, a front three of Rooney, Lukaku and Barkley would be terrifying. They're all skilled, all offer something different and are all capable of the spectacular. And, having three major threats up there allows for them to move around and create some major mismatches against defenses.
  8. Sooooo.... what were the odds you got on that one? I hope you're going to do something nice for your partner.
  9. Valencia is such shit. That pass was terrible!!!! ?
  10. Should be 3-0. Ross has been immense today.
  11. I stand by it. It was a good goal. But, it doesn't alter the reality.
  12. I'm sick of seeing Valencia come on instead of Lookman. Offers little more than energy and he's not our player. ^^Did this last week and it worked too ?
  13. Red for Huddlestone on Gana. Went over the top on him. Hopefully he's okay
  14. Yeah, let's bring in Maguire this summer.
  15. Lukaku has been disappointing today. His touch has been heavy and he's been fairly anonymous. I don't think it's that he isn't working hard, but it seems like he isn't doing the work he needs to be doing. Also, he's been perpetually offside. So, either lazy legs or a lazy mind. It's a shame. I was hoping this would be one of those games that he grabs by the scruff of the neck.
  16. Barry almost gifting one as well. Concentration is not our greatest skill, especially today, it seems.
  17. A Williams brain fart almost gifted them a goal. Lucky.
  18. Schneiderlin going off injured. Barry coming on. No clue what happened. Not good when innocuous injuries come about...
  19. Amazing touch by DCL or brilliance by way of mistake?
  20. It's the birth of his second child. Koeman explained prior to the match.
  21. I'm relaxed about this. But, the club shouldn't be. They should have already released a statement about the situation. They likely won't say much of anything. Koeman will end up taking the heat for it in his presser. Fans will turn on Lukaku (and, by extension, the team) and make it worse.
  22. Can't help but think that Barry is the wrong choice today. They're going to try us on the counter and they'll be tough to break down. I don't think this will suit his skill set.
