my point about it helping us is that we have had to stop increaseing the debt. which i did state quite clearly. if the banks came knocking when johnson was at the club, finding £10m wasnt difficult has the club had land/property to clear it as well as on field assets. the club now only has onfield assets as everything else has been sold. if the banks come knocking now it would take probably rodwell arteta and baines at least to clear the debt. this would leave us with a much worse squad and no off field assets. if the club continues to not improve the team and find no new way of finding cash for the banks (no assets left other than players now) then next season we could be playing oldham or stockport after fighting off administration.

that is just grim.

From what I can make out by the clubs accounts, we are in a much worse financial state than Johnson left us in. And the plight of the club can not be put down to the recession in the slightest! If anything the recession will only have helped by stopping us from increasing the debts even further.

Bailey only one of our lounces is in the tent, the rest are in very nice lounges in the mainstand and park end. The food is excellent, the seats in the exec box are very comfy and a great view. The package is good and reasonable in comparison with teams around us, but we still don't sell them. Not saying throw money at the squad. I just hate hearing people say that we would be fine if we had the shiney new stadium with loads of Corp seats.

the thing about messing up team spirit has always seemed media led to me. apart from dabo, for obvious reasons, he doesnt get a bad rep from other players. and by all accounts the only time he gets angry with his team mates is when they arent pulling their weight, which i have absolutely no problem with at all. bellamy always got stick for the same thing, pulling plays up who arent trying hard enough. if your not pulling your weight and someone has a go then so they should. no time for passengers. edit: too true on the muzzy! looks terrible with the mohawk/elvis top.

too true. seen some very great bands, muse and foo fighters at wembley to name a few, that put on great shows. there were no losers there, and i dont think there was any number ones either. there was plenty of passion, though not in the same way as a football match.
