  1. im sure its all politics mate, if they renew his contract it looks good to both sides, the club look like they've made him stay, he looks like hes happy to stay. then sell him next year after they get the extra year they want out of him. you said yourself, election coming soon.
  2. taxi - do you think mike has been counting every single vote for nothing?
  3. feel sorry for the things with his daughter and his house getting robbed, but if that caused problems for me in my job, id have been fired a long time ago. he has had more opportunities than any of us here will ever get, he has been paid more by efc in the last few years, than most of us will earn in a life time. hes had a hard few years, but thinking about it, people lose family members and loved ones to wars and thugs, yet still have to go to work and do it to the best of their ability. he should not be let of the hook just because he has the job we would all dream of, so sorry andy. this is the real world, bad things happen, deal with it, go to work and do what your paid to do, like the rest of us have to. good luck at blackburn, i honestly do hope you get your career back on track, and i hope your daughter gets over her problems and lives a happy life. im enjoying the extra day off from my job, where they pay me less in a year than you'll get in your next pay cheque.
  4. sorry dark, it was to bluenose, not you mate
  5. osman was brilliant with his two goals, been too long since we saw a performance like that from him. but for me pienaar was immense again, pantsil (i think it was) didnt get a look in, and must have gone home feeling like a championship player at best. it looks like pienaar is going to take the TT player of the year award, a shame Jags wont get it, but the numbers dont lie.
  6. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...15875-21387053/ bye bye
  7. has been wasted at right back this season. would love him in our midfield
  8. have you been on another planet for the last ten years or so? ferdinand, terry, cole, (younger) gary neville, beckham, scholes, gerarrd, lampard, owen, rooney, beckham, we have had players who are truely world class. they would all get in any team, but they could never play good enough as a team.
  9. is this some sort of wind up? or a joke i dont get? madness if true
  10. how the hell has he had more experience? st ledger has been a professional footballer for years, playing week in week out, mancienne is a kid whos been out on loan. i dont doubt the lads talent, but that comment is just plain ignorant!
  11. im still dreaming of the day we see breaking news on evertonfc.com
  12. i think bridge has been decent, in a poor city defence. but not a patch on baines. im thinking more about carlton cole, hes done well for west ham, but he is a sign to me that the golden generation of english football is coming to an end. touch and go whos going to be the next england keeper, again, three poor selections and imo kirkland is better than all three of them.
  13. but look now, we have 3, one is injured, so we have two. we have no cover, and as sure as i am that rodwell will be a great centre half, he is way to young to be playing back there. we need one asap
  14. we need a centre half, three is not enough. we need to have back up for everyone
  15. it says when the money is in place, so immediate capital should be there. and its not faceless, its just the ugly mug of peter reid
  16. cant agree taxi, i think he loves it here. and as for that report making out the only reason he didnt sign in jan was because he doesnt want to play left back? bollocks - as expected from that tabloid.
  17. THE BOLT! legend! Wright was born in Birmingham, England. He signed for Everton in 1972 from Walsall but only played 11 times for the club before having his contract terminated for 'serious misconduct'. It is rumoured that this 'misconduct' occurred when he discovered he had been dropped and he chased the club manager around the training ground. from wiki
  18. welcome manc. thanks for the kind words, and good luck in rome. back to phil neville, the penalty in the semi would have got rid of his haters i think. i love manchester, had a big one there last week myself. if your heading to liverpool, go to concert square, then just keep on walking for 100 yrds or so, then enjoy. peacock, alma de cuba, mojo, heebeejeebees. good times
  19. i thought it was the semi, i may be wrong, but still a great goal none the less
  20. the man is the complete opposite to keith wyness. one of the things he said when he first started was how valuable the customers (fans) opinions are to any business. give him five years though, he has a tough job against him, i'll back him all the way.
  21. i agree with him that there will be plenty of fans who will see it that way. i just personally think there's more to the problem than that
  22. its funny now, but just wait until they beat us 3-2 one day.
  23. his winner against us in the cup a while back sums up why drogba can be terrifying!
  24. take a look at more of the details. i'll leave it to louis
