  1. yeah, lets be honest, he can score goals, at antwerp and in the championship. hes had a very bad year, he could not even get in a struggling spurs team!!!
  2. he runs at people, i like that in a midfielder. but still has a lot to do.
  3. if we do a good turn and loose vic, we would then have 4. thats ok with me.
  4. his record is not 1 in 2, 91 games, 41 goals. if that was a premier league record id say yes, lets go for it. but most of these were at antwerp and in the championship. his prem record is 1 in 10. if, and its a big if, he was all that good, why would united want shut? they dont need the money.
  5. i personally think its just as important as any other position. we have two centre backs right now, it is not enough!
  6. when we had all three fit last season moyes favoured jags and lescott, im with him on that. i rate yobo very very highly, but i think these two are both better. and it helps the balance having a lefty and a righty.
  7. i can arrange a full mars bar if you can get this deal off the ground
  8. we dont know if we will or wont be getting him yet, and everton have not fallen short. you do worry me at times dark, i can only imagine the things you see
  9. only want him on loan here, i dont think hes good enough to spend a lot of money on.
  10. yak can get away with it, hes just the gun at the top of the field. he needs the runners so he doesnt have to
  11. marcus bent is a top pimp - fact!
  12. before he came to england he was a goal scorer, 26 in 75 at boca (not bad for a kid) and 31 in 52 for corinthians. nice one stove
  13. if we just buy one player who will be a starter, i'll be happy. if we get two starters i'll be made up. anything else is a bonus
  14. i did worry that you actually meant on here to be honest. if we did have that sort of power, Moutinho would be here by now
  15. that is one hell of a myth. all this talk of yak is reminding me just how much i miss him. cant wait to see him line up for the blues again!
  16. mascherano is one of the best in the world at what he does. he isnt the argentina captain for nothing. scoring goals isnt his job, and he doesnt need a long ball as liverpool dont use him in that way.
  17. as good as im sure defour is, he wont get in a team before gerrard, alonso or mascherano.
  18. the english summer is shit mate, football rumours are the only sunshine!
  19. hes been one of their better players this year imo one of them players that just fades into the back ground, not spectacular, but doesnt often make mistakes. he would walk into our team. i was gutted when we were linked to him last year, but im gutted we never got him now. i think the champions league final would have been a game for him
  20. lets all be so proud that we have that much effect on the team. im pretty sure the negativity of toffeetalk members was the cause of all the problems we had at the start of last season. lets not also forget that moyes wasnt given his transfer money until august, or the fact he hadnt signed his contract. so the small squad, and possibly even the lack of morale from the manager not signing his own deal, and the rest of the clubs around us spending big, just might have had an effect on the club too. get real, we have the same negativity every year, it is the common mood on this site over the summer months. surely you must be used to that by now? your not a newbie, you know how it works.
  21. that harry welfare bloke played for liverpool! and a goal scoring record like that! hes could have been leverpools very own dixie dean! great pics mike
  22. i think he has got a good left foot on him.
  23. good work jamie. i loved that the spurs fan said "we are tottenham hotspur, of course expectations will be high" i think that guy must have missed the premiership years of mediocrity.
  24. bad news from the daily post Defour deal touted Liverpool could pip a host of rivals to sign Steven Defour. The Standard Liege midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to England in recent months, with Arsenal, Aston Villa and Everton all said to be interested. However, it is believed Rafael Benitez wants to take the 21-year-old playmaker, who already has 20 caps for Belgium, in a deal which could cost as much as £15million.
  25. the daily post is linking us with Jamie O'Hara, i think he looked great under Jol. for £4m i'd be happy. http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/everto...534-23905784/2/ O'Hara targetted by trio Everton have been linked with a move for Jamie O’Hara. Aston Villa and Fulham have already been linked with the 22-year-old midfielder, who is said to fear for his first team chances at Tottenham Hotspur next season. It is now claimed the Toffees are also said to be interested in a move for the £4million-rated O’Hara, who made just fifteen Premier League appearances last season.
