  1. great shirts, but jesus! £115!!!! EDIT £399!
  2. i do like the idea of Zahvi doing the negotiations, he has some big players on his books, can only help. id rather green get involved much, much, much more, ideally, maybe, if he just bought the whole damn club!
  3. SSN after the break, they will be trying to get to the bottom of whats going on a GP. showed removal men putting big chairs into a truck. i heard today Elstone was taking the CEO job, i was happy with that as i know a lot of the Anti Wyness fellas in the posh seats have a lot of respect for Elstone and his ideas. been confirmed anywhere that Elstone has left?
  4. i think the reason no body has made much effort apart from barca, he is 27, was unknown till a few months back, now suddenly he wants to be a top earner and zenit want big bucks for him. if they want to be realistic, £10m maybe, and for himself, 50k a week is plenty. after all, it was only two games in the euros he excelled in, and a hand full of uefa games. you dont become a superstar over night!
  5. it was actually my uncle who speaks with AJs dad, gambling/eating/drinking buddies, still insisting he doesnt want to go, but he was never going to put in a request, he wanted his 10% if he had to go, direct quote "you watch, my lad will get his 10%"
  6. if hes left then hes probably only about three years too late. but this man has played a bad part in the problems i believe we may see over the next few years. the club is finanically unstable, our season ticket sales are against loans, our players are against loans, we have at least two mortgages on Goodison and no other off field assets. EFC as a company are in a bad bad way. if anybody doesnt believe that they should take a look at the clubs financial accounts. not pleasant reading. i hope BK can either find a buyer or find a CEO who actually doesnt have a history of causing problems. if true, good ridance!
  7. correct, we may not be, but the previous owner had the money to improve things, where as the current regime cant manage to get a penny in, and sell of the clubs assets. we cant afford to go flying in with an offer that suits the selling club. this isnt football manager you know lads EDIT: got to give credit to EFC for using Zahvi to broker the deal, hes mountinhos agent and if hes working for everton then hes gunna get commision from both sides, pretty much putting us in a great position with the player.
  8. because you wouldnt go and make an offer for a house for the full value would you? you offer less than the value and try to agree somewhere in the middle. theres no need to rush in and pay the full whack now, not when theres 5 weeks to go.
  9. mark tell me you have a link to this!
  10. im sure any players we bring in will be having preseason with their current clubs, so fitness should not be an issue
  11. great inspiration to all the kids. look at Phillip Neville, multi millionaire, had a great career, plenty of England caps, League winner on many occassions, plenty of FA Cup medals, A European Cup winner, see kids, all that, and we actually wasnt that good! for the neville lovers, that is a joke by the way, i actually like the guy.
  12. carl - wasnt a word for word quote. AJs dad didtn use "getting away with it" that was my way of putting it. he just feels there would be more upraor if this was another player. as others have said, really nice bloke AJ, but football isnt about being nice, everybody has their price i guess.
  13. i have it on good authority (from AJs dad) that he is happy here, but he is being offered about as he is the most salable player we have, without causing massive trouble to the team. the only other players who could fetch that kind of money are cahill, arteta, lescott and yak, and they would never be able to get away with selling them. AJ is only unsettled as he feels he is being pushed, he doesnt want to leave the north west as he is happy in his home and his family are very settled, but he does not fancy a step down to wigan.
  14. im not so much that 10 has to be a striker, as long as its an attacking player. howard is 24 because his sporting hero, a baseball player i think, plays in 24
  15. if we pull this one off ill die a quick death, shortly followed by a resurection. and im looking forward to the challenge. come on moysey
  16. i knew you'd be on this topic jamie, a fellow shirt number (freak) traditionalist like myself
  17. be very happy with that. they balso put a story on there yesterday about manny as well. if we got them two id be very happy for next season
  18. id love this guy to buy everton. legend
  19. Rodwell looked good, and Baxter looked great when he came on. good touch and movement, some good passing
  20. good work Mr Bradley, about time we heard something useful from you
  21. for god sake, the point im making is that its not the fucking name that wins the matches! ibrahimavic - good one. ronaldoinho, been shit for two years. sheva - crap. big names can mess up team spritit from their egos. the name means nothing if they dont have the ethic to back it up EDIT: ok, ill get real but you want us to sign Aimar!
  22. fine, you keep dreaming of the big name. i'll stay a bit more realistic. not worth the discusion, feels more like a football manager chat anyway
  23. im with you about Alonso ace, would be quality
  24. you get a big reputation by having an agent who touts your arse round europe. you want a big player with a big reputation, veron and morientes just to name two
