  1. Another view.... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/92294/You-re-going-nowhere/
  2. Two new contradictory "stories" then. Still speculation, nothing new (and the bookies odds on him staying have actually shortened slightly today ).
  3. I love automatic translation . In the footsteps of Marc Hottiger Everton will be trained by the Scots David Moyes. The squad is well-known names such as Phil Neville, Louis Saha, Tim Cahill, Steven Pienaar and Tim Howard occupied. The homestead is the Goodison Park Senderos is Marc Hottiger (1995 to 1997) the second Swiss, when the Liverpoolern under contract.
  4. If Sheffield United had acted the same way we'd have got Naughton . Never mind, not to be.
  5. Rightly so. £10m for a league one kid? Madness.
  6. Here's a thought. 6ft 4/5in Everton's record signing, lot of disciplinary problems but scores a goal every four games. Becomes cult hero though many supporters unconvinced. Hero or villain? Duncan Ferguson/Fellaini (difference being that, so far, Marouane has a slightly better strike rate and hasn't been sent off yet. It's also not his primary purpose to score goals).

    Blackpool

Lescott still "injured." Be nice if he went and sat in the stand . http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/lescott-to-miss-blackpool.html
  8. How could you tell ? The keen eyesight of youth I guess .
  9. I'd feel better if Arshavin could have a little accident. Nothing too serious (he's in my fantasy team), stubbed toe or something...just enough to keep him out of their first game .
  10. Never heard of him but brilliant name! My bro lives in Toulouse, I'll get him to have an ask round .
  11. ....and Dortmund didn't want Pienaar. Real Sociadad didn't want Arteta. City don't want Jo but if he plays like he did today all season he could be a huge asset. By your logic we wouldn't have signed any of them because "the facts don't lie."
  12. Few things. How do you know we were serious about Cana? Maybe we were serious at the price DM thought he was worth (maybe not) but not at what Sunderland paid for him. Elm at Finch Farm. Costs petty cash to show someone round, maybe he had a shite attitude (maybe not). I don't know but I'll trust DM's judgment. "Another false bid." What other "false bids" have we made? Personally I don't think DM's integrity would ever let him get involved in stuff like that (could be wrong). We've announced record turnover, not profit. Completely different (that one's fact). I believe Bill seriously wants the best for the club (some don't) and would sell if he got a decent offer. You can't sell something if no-one wants to buy it. I'm still greatly optimistic for the next season and the next decade....doesn't feel like the road to the abyss to me (and I've been down it with Everton more than once before ). But nice to see a long heartfelt first post, welcome, hope you stick around.
  13. Me and my big mouth . Still got a chance; if our last three can somehow squeeze another 90 runs to give us a 150 lead it could still be interesting. Lot to ask though.
  14. Flintoff's playing us into having a shot at another win, 71 off 74 balls and we've got a 30+ lead. Ain't gonna lose now anyway .
  15. Ominous on the OS.... Joleon Lescott will miss today's pre-season friendly with Coventry because of a "hip injury"... ...Jack Rodwell is expected to step back into defence to fill the gap left by Lescott's "enforced" absence. The "..."'s are mine, but they may as well be there .

    Hiya

Are you always this demanding ? Anyway, worked it out....J-Lo will appear shortly .
  17. Historically I think who and how clubs play pre-season is fairly irrelevant to how things go when the season starts. No-one's playing hard-arse games against hard-arsed opposition...it's all about money and profile (as well as slowly building match fitness). The MLS game was in fact probably one of the most serious pre-season games any club took part in, purely because it was serious for the MLS. Last seasons poor start was down to DM's contract problems more than anything else in my view (along with a paper-thin squad).
  18. Agree (a mathematically impossible) 110% . Madness to consider selling anyone (other than anyone that wants to go, and that we can get at least £25m for).
  19. I hope (and believe) Joleon's got more class than to get the Sunday S*n to do his dirty work. But who knows what goes on and what his agent's up to?

    Howdy

Welcome Tom. Afghanistan! That's a first for us . Seen any decent right-backs out there ?
  21. Still don't think it's true....not even Wikipedia reports it. And they would if there was the slightest hint of truth in it.
  22. Nah.....the article still came to the conclusion that they'd qualify for the Champions League (again).....delusional as ever .
  23. Funny that non-Evertonians seem to have a higher opinion of us than some of us do.... From a Spurs site....
