  1. Out of our midfielders Ossie actually has a marginally better strike rate than Arteta....better than Pienaar also, behind only TC and Felli.
  2. Quite why they make a video of it when the first thing it tells you to do is close your eyes baffles me a little ....but in the interests of stress relief for all our troubled members at this anxious time of year we give you, free and gratis, an island of serenity in the midst of the madness. This service is exclusive to ToffeeTalk and is not provided by any of our (supposed) competitors, who care nothing for their member's health and state of mind. Feel the love! ToffeeTalk.....the Caring Forum. Why go anywhere else?
  3. Very strange one. Can't see Owen making that much of an impact on their merchandising at all, and his playing opportunities will be very limited. Maybe Ferguson just wants someone to talk to about the gee-gees . Don't understand it at all.
  4. Not exactly what you asked for (you should be able to find plenty of action shots online), but here's a few mug shots I've taken of players arriving at Goodison before games which you're welcome to use....plus one of Tim Howard in the warm-up which I got more by luck than judgement .
  5. The 2 to 4 week delivery time is a dead giveaway. High risk....wouldn't mind getting a couple of international shirts from somewhere like that (got a nice Greece fake a couple of years back) but I'd not go for an Everton one. That needs to be genuine.
  6. http://www.toffeetalk.com/forums/index.php...amp;hl=peterlin (Unconfirmed on the OS as far as I can see). http://www.toffeetalk.com/forums/index.php...&hl=Mustafi http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/mustafi-to-sign.html
  7. Quite right!! I'm glad it's not just me that those ads annoy .
  8. Consumer info on the "Sale of Goods Act" Durability is another recent addition to the definition of quality. How long should a dishwasher or a vacuum cleaner or a printer last? This is a very common source of complaint and one which manufacturers were always quick to turn back on the consumer, requiring them to provide proof that the item did not conform to contract specification from the start, or implying an element of misuse or neglect. Thanks to the new European Regulations, UK law now offers greater protection for consumers against products which develop faults within the first 6 months. The assumption is now that if it breaks down within this time period it cannot have conformed to the contract specification when purchased and you have the right to an automatic repair or replacement. Having said this, items which should last several years can still break down after this six month period. If the retailer or manufacturer’s warranty has run out, the shop is often quick to say there is nothing they can do before attempting to sell you an extended warranty. This is misleading. If you buy something which should last 7 years but breaks down after a year and a day, you can still claim it was of poor quality in reference to the durability aspect. In this respect it will help to know how long items such as washing machines or printers should last. You can get this information relevant trade association. After four months they've not got a leg to stand on. I got (as I put on here a while back) a full refund on a laptop that was more than a year old by being persistent. They may try and fob you off but if you hang in the law's on your side .
  9. Have you been spending time on Kipper again Grarghsies? (Although that's quite mild )
  10. Must be under guarantee surely ? I'm cranky as f'ck....another day of (virtual) starvation today ahead of a hospital appointment tomorrow. Worst bit is that the appt's not until 3.00 and I can't eat anything until after....no coffee either <_< .
  11. Averaged slightly better than a goal every four games....not on the same planet as Latch or Sharpy, and more often a liability than an inspiration. Can understand the appeal though to an extent for a generation starved of success (and half decent football).
  12. Excellent....welcome mate. Wife told me recently that she'd love to visit Prague (her mother goes often and raves about it). Now I know there are evolved people in the country I may just take her .
  13. Order it online and have it delivered to wherever you're staying .
  14. Do you mean when we edit our own posts or somebody elses? In either case we have the choice....can add the edit line or not, along with the reason, so I tend to decide on individual cases....depends whether the edit needs explaining to everyone or just to the person who posted it, in which case I'd pm them.
  15. Urban Dictionary (where I go when someone posts something I don't understand ) needs updating then. No record of it there . http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ale
  16. Food for thought. Post on The Independent after their report that Owen is likely to go to us or Villa... "As a Newcastle supporter who saw every home game and most away games last season I can tell you Michael Owen is simply not good enough anymore for the Premier League. What made him great was his ability to be in the right position at the right time. He never was a great 'finisher' and often wasted more chances than he netted. He has not lost a yard of pace either, he has lost it all. Many big slow commanding centre halfs would beat him over 10 yards now. Add this to the fact that he simply has no desire to play and I ask you who would want him. Both Villa and Everton have been relatively successful having a good season last year. Why waste this on somebody who is more concerned with horse racing and flying his helicopter? Both teams in question did well because of team spirit last year and a belief in themselves. Why would you bring in somebody who believes they are a lot better than they are to potentially upset this. His goals have gone, his stats that people show are 10 years old and the guy cannot be bothered. Hopefully he will end up somewhere more suited to his skill level. No disrespect intended here but he is no better than Hull or Stoke and should he go to one of these unfortuante clubs then they should preprare for a relegation scrap and more than likely to fail, just as we did at Newcastle. Great players win trophies, a half decent player would have kept Newcastle up! He did not!"
  17. Not a bad idea I don't think....another forum that I post on has the delay and it's useful for people (like me) who don't like to leave typos. I've had a quick look in the control panel and can't find how to enable it, or even if it's possible with this board. Have to get Louis to have a look .
  18. When did cider and vodka become ale ? Has "ale" become urban slang for all booze while I wasn't watching?
  19. That's more than one isn't it ? And according to wikipedia it's three, plus the Olympics. Unless he played for Brazil also I don't quite see your point.
  20. Jo has been selected (on more than one occasion) to play for Brazil. He scored thirty goals in fifty three games at Moscow. Including Champions League. Playing (effectively) in a fridge . I'm not sure how anyone of any age could put him behind Vic....but everyone's entitled to their opinion .
  21. Valencia has signed for ManU. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...utd/8127596.stm (Doesn't need pinning Dark. Won't drop too far off the top once things hot up....if people are interested in non-Everton signings. If they're not it'll die a natural death)
  22. What about Scotland? Gavin Hamilton played in the 1999 world cup for Scotland, then played a test (in South Africa) for England the following year before playing for Scotland again (after a four year qualifying period). Loads more Jocks have played for England....though I can't think of any off the top of my head. I guess it's actually the GB cricket team....but as the English are the best and England are in charge we can call it what the hell we like you provincial serfs ! Anyway....on subject....we'll lose. Probably in humiliating fashion (I blame the Scots and Welsh for diluting the purity of the team ).
  23. I hope not . Brawn were a victim of the quality of their car at Silverstone.....it's so easy on tyres that there wasn't enough stress put on them to heat them up given the cold weather......and given the need for grip in flat out cornering there they were stuffed. And Jenson was still the fastest man on the track at the end of the race.
  24. You've gotta trust DM really haven't you? If he signs him it'll be because he thinks his head's right....he's not going to put a dickhead in the dressing room I don't think. He hasn't yet (as far as I can recall).
  25. All you can safely say from that is that his agent was thinking about it .
