  1. I resent that <_< . (Damn...567 ) Click on the number in the "replies" column.
  2. Andy Murray's won the last four meetings with Federer . Two horse race though barring a big upset, it'd be a hell of a final!
  3. Agreed. Boob man Taxi? Prefer the natural look personally .
  4. Swift vid....nothing much new other than a walk from the dressing room down the tunnel (didn't take video camera with me so the quality's not great). Note the rapturous applause shortly after I get onto the pitch-side, it's the effect I have on people, not something I can help . And I know the music's Italian....but it fitted .
  5. I didn't say they were. My point was that I'd never heard of a "magnificent seven," famed or otherwise, and that if there was to be a list (of indeterminate number) of magnificent players from the Kendall era then none of the five mentioned would get a look in. The ten I mentioned (who could be described as magnificent) were acknowledged as not part of the named five plus the additional un-named "famed" magnificent two (who they?). I hope that's clear .
  6. FIA (Mosley) planning legal action against the teams... "The actions of Fota as a whole, and Ferrari in particular, amount to serious violations of law including wilful interference with contractual relations, direct breaches of Ferrari's legal obligations and a grave violation of competition law. "Preparations for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship continue but publication of the final 2010 entry list will be put on hold while the FIA asserts its legal rights." Should have got rid of him when he was caught dressing up as a nazi with the prostitutes, I'm convinced this would never have happened if he'd been sacked. He's as much of a megalomaniac as his father <_< .
  7. There's a piece on the OS about Howard Kendall's first game in charge... http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/the-...-all-began.html The start of a magnificent era certainly (though not immediately and not without tears). This is a bit of a stretch though imo.... "....the new manager....included no less than five debutants in his inaugural line-up. Jim Arnold, Mike Walsh, Alan Ainscow, Mickey Thomas and Alan Biley were five of the famed Magnificent Seven that Kendall recruited during his first summer in charge." Famed magnificent seven ? First time I've heard them called that. Neville Southall, Gary Stevens, Derek Mountfield, Peter Reid, Kevin Ratcliffe, Trevor Steven, Graeme Sharp, Paul Bracewell, Kevin Sheedy and Andy Gray maybe. (I know that's more than seven and they weren't signed in 1981 before anyone points it out )
  8. I'm certain that there were cheaper ones than £503 last season. Doesn't sound right at all . Not quite sure where they got the £399 for this season either... http://www.evertonfc.com/seasontickets/prices/
  9. A myth. Couple of examples after a very quick check...hat-trick against Fulham (8/12/2007) and two vital goals against Newcastle (11/5/2008). Sure there are more. (More precise check shows he scored six goals August to November that season and fifteen from December on)
  10. I'd be delighted with that, as long as we don't lose anyone (other than the ones already gone).
  11. Don't know that part very well; Dumfries & Galloway yes, Argyll, Lomond, Trossochs yes and the West Highlands definitely but I've always kind of bypassed Ayrshire. Did go to Girvan once but that's about it .
  12. Two separate championships? Following in the footsteps of darts & boxing. Ridiculous....pull your fingers out people and sort it. That bit made me laugh....looked up the full article HERE. WTF would Eddie Irvine know about good drivers ? He was a waste of rubber.
  13. Why are her eyes frosted out? Is it so no-one recognises her ?
  14. If my dear wife had have been with me I wouldn't have noticed because I'd only have had eyes for her   . I was alone :lmaosmiley: .
  15. Walking from the Metro into Madrid airport on Tuesday there was a girl in from of me on the walkway wearing a dress of similar length. Whenever it was a bit uphill or when the moving walkway came to a stop she had to lean forward a bit to push her trolly a bit harder. My legs were quite painful with all the walking by then and try as I might I couldn't overtake her . Is that wrong of me ?
  16. Not Pienaar, SA have failed to qualify .
  17. Steady Louis, I live here but I'm certainly not from here. I've never had sex with a close family member and I can't drive a tractor so I couldn't possibly be a true Devonian .
  18. At least that means they won't blow up the planet until at least next summer . Their weaponising of plutonium and enriching of uranium (or was it the other way round ) will have to wait...wouldn't want to be the team that knocks them out though, might make the glorious leader angry .
  19. The one thing that surprised me was that the seats on the "bench" were bloody uncomfortable....far too upright to relax....but then maybe that's the point. I did the walk from the visitors dressing room down the tunnel and onto the pitch (or next to it, not allowed on obviously). Tried to imagine what it would be like to do that for real (or for Real )....just mind boggling I think. And the talent to get there is wasted on oxygen thieves like Ronaldo....the world's an unfair place.
  20. Yeah well done Mark.....what's next?
  21. It was the right decision, what's the fourth official supposed to do if he knows it? Perversely, if the defender hadn't rolled around on the ground in agony to disguise what really happened but had just carried on, then possibly it wouldn't have been an issue. Webb might have told Brazil to get on with the corner and Egypt might have got away with it. It's about 5.40 into this, not English commentary but it's obvious what's going on....
  22. I've decided to do a survey of football surveyors (with Louis' permission). I'll be contacting you shortly . Seriously that was an interesting one....done.
  23. Hmmmm...."Wet Spam take two top foreign talents on loan coup." Déjà vu? Hope the FA are checking the small-print this time .
  24. Accused of grumpiness and sense in the same thread :graduated: . I don't belieeeve this.... After all the relevant information has been loaded, the computer can produce a full divisional fixture list in around five minutes. But some are manually devised, such as Boxing Day and 28 December, because the computer has no appreciation of distance between stadiums. Maybe the time has come to upgrade from their Sinclair ZX81 . Anyway, Arsenal at home....an easy three points to start with then. Don't know if anyone's pointed it out yet as I've not read the whole thread but the City game will be postponed because we're playing Europa the following day. Why the negativity? Could be a historic month in our inevitable rise back to the top where we belong!
