  1. Just a bit....we'd have to start a 3rd place thread then !
  2. Everton's Tim Cahill has been picked by Australia for this week's World Cup qualifier against Qatar, but Liverpool's Harry Kewell has not. Cahill, who played at Blackburn on Saturday, is currently making the trip for Wednesday's clash in Melbourne, but the midfielder will struggle to be back in time for Everton's next Premier League game - at home to Reading on Saturday. While Cahill is wanted by boss Pim Verbeek, Kewell has been deemed surplus to requirements. The Premier League's Australian contingent are likely to face another lengthy trip next month - the Socceroos are due to play in China on March 26, just days before the final Merseyside derby of the season.
  3. Liked Black Books. Cheers/Frasier is/are a good example imo of the American sitcom that can evolve and stay funny. If you go back to something like Allo Allo (sorry Alex ) it's the same jokes every week....every minute in fact. It's one joke is that foreigners speak in a funny accent which creates endless double entendre, funny for thirty seconds if you like that kind of thing I suppose.
  4. Readthepostsproperlyjacko.co.uk I'm liking the Yobo midfield holding role that Licker's suggested in the Reading thread... Howard Neville Jagielka Lescott Baines Yobo Fernandes Osman (if he gets back his pre-injury form) Arteta Pienaar Yakubu Wessells Two of Johnson/Anichebe/Vaughan Hibbo Cahill That's a powerful side.
  5. Don't want to resort to idle threats Fish, but I think you'll find Josh has some pretty powerful allies...you may wish to reconsider  .
  6. And so we reach the final, and the one question everybody is asking... "Is Liam the sort of man who wants to make an eleven year old cry?" No pessure Fish .
  7. One of the few advantages of alcoholism (Delta type particularly) is that you never get sober so you never get a hangover .
  8. So why has nothing been done about it more than three months later? Aren't they normally dealt with immediately....very strange.
  9. Off the top of my head 20%, 40%, 60%. Think that's how it works....don't hold me to it though.
  10. Before we go to Anfield Liverpool have... Chelsea A 'Boro H Bolton A Wham H Newcastle H Reading H ManU A We have... Reading H City A Pompey H Sunderland A Fulham A Wham H On current form you could expect Liverpool to pick up seven points from those games. We can expect twelve, go into the derby with an eight point advantage...where's the problem ?
  11. I'm saying nothing. I upset people last time he came up on here because I called him an "average evangelical American brain-dead nob-head" among other things . So my lips are sealed . Edit...Oh fuck...I've done it again !
  12. How can you go downhill when you start in the gutter ?
  13. Anyone have turned down two points a game while they were away? Against City, Wigan, Spurs and Blackburn? Three good teams in there, even though we could (should) have beaten Blackburn yesterday I reckon that's a result! With you on that Mark. You don't piss with a defence that has just kept out Berbatov, Keane, Santa Cruz and McCarthy (comfortably).
  14. Here's a bit more... Ghana have just taken the lead....six minutes left. Devastated.
  15. Big favour from Fulham....just beat Villa 2-1 .
  16. Ghana equalised just on half-time...I'm so sad I could cry  :lmaosmiley: :thumbsup_anim: !
  17. Summed up beautifully SRF! Couldn't have put it better myself....come on you...er...Super Eagles....a bit .
  18. Trawling through some archive I found this (lots of people agreed wtih him I have to say, most of us probably). Under the heading.... Collina to ref the Blues on Wednesday See what else I can find where people need to eat their words...eg the Moyes Out threads !
  19. Agreed. We've gone from thirteen points in the first ten league games, mid table and squeeking past Kharkiv by the end of October to nine wins, four draws and two losses in the league (form that stacks us up against the very best), four European wins and a Champions League place. Admittedly we had the Oldham debacle and the Carling semi defeat in there but we were unlucky not to beat Spurs (although we kept a clean sheet after they'd put five past Arsenal and before they very nearly beat ManU). We were robbed fucking blind yesterday...just watched it again and I still can't believe it. If no action is taken against the ref there's something wrong! That's twice we've been cheated, they say it evens up but I can't think of an example where we've been on the receiving end this year. We still have the momentum, hopefully Yak and Joey will be back next week and once we get Pienaar fit again we'll be flying. But we wouldn't be Evertonians if we couldn't find something to moan about would we ?

    Hi

The TC effect no doubt . I'm gonna find out where they all are, pin them on a map of Oz, hire myself a VW camper, work out a route and do a TT Down Under tour . I'm in negotiation with several major multi-nationals over sponsorship....anyone up for it? Welcome Jesse....got any spare floorspace?
  21. I'm speechless after watching that on MOTD . Should have been playing ten men. Definite penalty if I ever saw one. And the disallowed goal defies any comment. The ref (let alone the linesman) needs punishing. ....and as for Hughes saying he's angry that they didn't get the pen . Bollocks, and he should be ashamed of himself for saying it.
  22. Or you could say eight points from a possible twelve in four tricky games while we're without the African lads, only one goal conceded and three clean sheets. Or you could say nine wins, four draws and two losses in the last fifteen league games. Averaging more than two points a game. Definite Champions League form.
  23. We're overdue a late winner....come on lads!!! Shite...was AJ offside? BBC site had it as a goal... 1644: DISALLOWED Blackburn 0-0 Everton Andy Johnson had the ball in the net for Everton but the goal was ruled out for offside. A very, very late and somewhat dubious decision. 1644: GOAL Blackburn 0-1 Everton
  24. Good point...273 mins since we last scored . Taking control though according to the Beeb, one goal likely to settle it though....let's hope we score it.
