  1. No goal for Fang in the game I see. Let's hope he is a toothless next weekend.
  2. If Kone had played like Lukaku last Saturday the mob with pitch forks would already be assembling. Give him a chance ffs.
  3. Thought Depardu was very good against Spurs and largely ineffective against Palace. The inconsistency of youth isn't it?
  4. We were dreadful at Palace but it doen't necessarily follow that we will play like that against The Shite. Yes they have several threats and a lot more variety than us - but they are also capable of being off colour themselves. The least I expect is a fight. We didn't aways compete under Moyes in these matches - hence his poor derby record. At least with Barry and McCarthy in the team there will be a tackle as opposed to a stuck out toe < Fellaini>
  5. Southampton looking very good currently. Nice brand of football, lot of variety about their play. Subs coming on and scoring always a good thing too. Kudos.
  6. I thought he was awful at Palace - and no matter who he plays in front of is going to be shouting at him. Cheating <not tracking back with his man> may occasionally give us an out ball but more often than not it will lead to a full back being overloaded.
  7. Ok perhaps my emotions were getting the better of me. I will upgrade them from brutal to very poor.
  8. Great weekend except of the football match I went to. Couple of things. There ARE some right wankers among our away support. People slagging Baines for a poor free kick for example. Stay at home you t****. My thoughts. A truly woeful performance completely lacking in invention. Utterly ineffective in the the attacking third and we only got a point because Jerome Thomas shanked his chip and the lead singer from JLS has a head like three pence piece. Palace are fucking brutal btw - and nearly beat us. Their fans started singing in injury time but of course Match of the Day painted them out to be loud and enthusiastic the whole way through. Second absolutely dreadful performance from Mirallas in a row. Spinning Jenny with no end product. Start with a trap eh Kevin and then maybe a pass to a team-mate. Which brings me to Lukaku. My first live experience of this dude. Touch like a blacksmith. Totally off it on this occasion I am afraid. Another one who needs to go back to basics. Nothing delivered of note from either Coleman or Baines - but I didn't feel the need to scream at either of them. We just went sideways all afternoon and then looked frightened the rare time Palace attacked. Bad day at the office time ten.
  9. Don't fancy him. I'd rather we tried to borrow the Spanish lad for a second season and kept the money towards a centre forward for when Lukaku is recalled by Narcisus <Mourinho>
  10. I certainly would not change a back four off the back of a clean sheet. I agree on starting El Nino though.
  11. Late to this. Thought we were largely pegged back by a solid looking Spurs in the first half but looked the more likely to win it at the end. Ours a better shout for a penno than theirs but my man Seamus is too honest. Needs some lessons from the Ashley Coles and Youngs of this world < shakes head> McCarthy and Distin my standout players. Mirallas is a powder puff < brushed off like a baby at times> - and he exposes whoever he plays in front of - in this case young Seamus. Thought Gerrard Depardu did a lot better job at stifling Vertogen to be fair. A good point.
  12. Going to this gig and looking forward to it. First game this season. Into Gatters on Friday tea time and back to the mother land on Sunday. We have to be winning this game Shirley?
  13. Barry could play left back but his influence in the middle of the park has been sizeable since he arrived.
  14. Osman instrumental yesterday. Yet some are ready to bin him <shakes head in despair> Very balanced team these days. Anyone still missing The Wizzard?
  15. Can I just say that if Mourinho passes wind it could actually just be a fart and not a clever mind game. Thanks.
  16. For someone who talks so much shite he/they are doing rather well currently.
  17. The young lad Shaw at Southampton is destined for better things. I am still not convinced Baines will leave in January
  18. I think Felli may struggle to get a regular gig at United. Kagawa did more last night in one game than Felli has done for them since he arrived - and personally I don't think we have missed him. Cheers for the money Dave.
  19. Can I remind everyone that Cahill was essentially done before he left us and with all due respect to my US based cousins the MLS is only slightly less of a banjo league than when I returned to Blighty in 2005. Always welcome back as a fan of course. Legend.
  20. I like Holloway and if I was Championship team with half a chance of promotion I would probably appoint him now - although he seems so have lost his mojo <or had it sucked out of him> Those two stunning goals on Monday night would have knocked the heart out of most teams - never mind an under-cooked bunch of strangers, missing their two best players and finding their feet in a league where any error or weaknesss is generally punished. Fair play to the chairman for saying he was quite prepared to go down with Holloway in charge, knowing their chances of coming back up were good. That's the way it has to be for most of the promoted clubs until they can establish themselves a la West Brom. Fair play to Holloway too for admitting he tried to change things too quickly. The wee man looks burnt out. Bit of punditry beckons before he gets back in the saddle.
  21. When I played in the Southern Californian Sunday league I once went three games without scoring and I could sense some of my team-mates were thinking my halo had slipped < over 200 goals in eleven seasons but who's counting>. I found my form again by contributing assists, working hard and waiting for the inevitable tap-in to get me firing again. Once Kone gets one my granny couldn't miss he will be off and running. I like him
  22. I fancy us. Benteke's a handful but so is Lukaku. Us to play around them and get a late winner.
  23. Lord Govan has essentially called Rooney stupid and fat. No wonder he wanted off.
  24. Happy to see Roy Keane pissed off. Absolute c*** of a person. And if Taggart loves Mourinho so much how come HE is not currently managing United?
