  1. Whatever Graeme does I would suggest a piklectomy might improve his constantly gurning boat race. He has what I like to call " Steve Clarke syndrone". Clarkie's face stuck trying to impersonate/copy his old boss Me-rinho. Hope this is not racist but why do many Scottish managers appear to have a bad smell under their nose most of the time? And I see Paul Lambert has picked up Moyesie's " Def-in-ately respose. It's pish.
  2. Agree on Kone. Game of inches isn't it?. I have a feeling when this chap finally notches it is going to be an important one at it will kick start his season.
  3. Only saw the highlights. Got the rub of the green on a couple of major decisions I thought. Three points - and only four off the top of the league.
  4. Not much between them now I feel. Baines puts in some tremendous blocks inside the box. I remember one from the away game at Newcastle a couple of seasons ago < a 2-1 win I think>. I recall saying to myself "Self, How did he get to that?" Tough choice for the manger. Cole probably will get the nod.
  5. Pienaar is a good pivot for Baines but for me he has largely been disappointing since about Easter last year. Seen the best of him I think.
  6. Fingers crossed. I'd rather play them without Fang.
  7. Agreed. Some whoppers on another board used to say James Vaughan was "Injury prone". Having knee trouble, a dislocated shoulder and a hole in your shin is simply bad luck. Injury prone is the likes of Anderton, Giggs and Owen. Shame for GIbson.
  8. Might have been a different story if Levandowski had put away that early chance. I am glad England are going to the WC finals though. Seems to me it's all were are shit ,we are shit we are shit until Engerland qualify and then it's all were are brill, we are brill we are brill until they go out. Try looking upon yourselves as plucky underdogs this time around. it might take you further and soften the disappointment. Kudos to Scotland, Wales, NI and the ROI last night btw.
  9. A couple of years ago N.Ireland played Poland on a Saturday afternoon in Belfast. A large contingent of ROI based Poles arrived by train and proceeded to rob B and Q of axes, slege hammers etc on their way to Windsor Park. They wrecked a couple of pubs en route and at one point overwhelmed the police - who were taken by suprise by the agression and numbers of said Poles. A mate of mine said he had never witnessed more savage violence in his life. Be careful if you are going. I am sure there are plenty of Polish fans simply going to watch their team too btw.
  10. I would have added the Baggies game to the ones you mention but they have since proved themselves to be a decent outfit an perhaps deserve a bit of credit.
  11. We didn't get the points we deserved in the first few games. Still capable of having a bad day at the office but I can only see positives. I wanted Martinez as manager long before The Ginger Wizzard announced his intention to leave.
  12. If I was king anyone who didn't say thank you to me when I held the door for them or wave at me when I let then out of a junction in my car would be castrated or at least booted up the hole.
  13. All those clubs you mention were dominant and had spent buckets of money before O'Neill arrived. He had no money at Wycombe or Leicester and did fine jobs there. You talk about him using only a small amount of players but when he played the squad players in Europe on one occasion that didn't please the Villa faithful either. I hope he gets the ROI gig. He is a top man.
  14. How much did the top four and Liverpool spend during his time at Villa? O'Leary may have also got them to 6th place but O'Neill did it three times - and got them to a cup final < where they were robbed>
  15. My experience of Villa fans is that they are one notch less dillusional than The Geordies. O'Neill massively improved their league position from previous managers and did so consistently. Moyes bought plenty of turkeys too. And Villa got an absolute fortune from United for Ahsley Young so that is a poor example.
  16. Norman also saved a club a fortune when he refused a new contract and retired - and rarely let us down as a player - in spite of the hole in his femur. What did the Villa fans say when he had them in the top six for a few seasons I wonder. was it "Fuck you Martin" you have vastly improved us? The fourth place gives Moyes the edge on O'Neill I suppose but you cannot parade fourth place on an open top bus. Moyes may win something with United mind.
  17. I rate him as a person. I don't really get why having an interest in criminology is a negative especially since he was studying law at Queens University for three years before he went to Forest. Norman Whiteside told me that at the regular N.ireland World Cup anniverary meet ups O'Neill is fantastic crack and one of the last ones to bed. I like him. No matter where he went he improved things. Sunderland goofed by not trusting him - and the players there are moaning c**nts who knifed him when he departed then gurned about what they got instead. He asked for more money at Villa to take them to the next level - what an asshole <rolls eyes>
  18. I have always liked O'Neill and I think he is exactly the sort of manager the ROI need. His strength is motivation but you do not achieve the success he has had without having a brain and Martin certainly is savy. He did not get enough credit for getting Celtic to the UEFA Cup final where they met a good opponent who in the end resorted to dirt, cheating and time wasting in order to win it. I would imagine Martin's politics to be of the nationalist persuasion but he represented the country of his birth with skill and pride. Others like McLean and Gibson didn't have the belly for it.
  19. David James is a twat and for some reason Ray Stubbs has started to talk like a robot. I am struggling to think of anyone good presenting football currently. Other than Neville G there is not much happening. Graeme Souness needs that pickle removed from his anus and Jumping Jamie < for fooks sake> - brutal.
  20. Yes. We are going to batter them. Hopefully no injuries picked up to key players playing in the internationals. Still cannot fugure out where we went to after we scored at The Ethiad. Put it behind us build a bridge etc etc.. Onwards.
  21. Dodgy area discussing those across the park. Daft video aside Rodgers has done more good than bad since accepting the poison chalice. Hopefully they are too daft to realise the improvement he has brought - and Doglead will make another comeback.. Please don't tell me to fuck off. I support Everton and I don not have a closet.
  22. Let the record reflect it was the big ugly City forward who saw fit to put his head in Coleman's grill. Not his finest performance for sure but the blind pass inside the full-back for the first one we conceded was sublime. On the penalty kick I would say that was a harsh decision and a very soft penalty. If Kolarov was easing past him I wonder who was tracking back to help him. Was if Feet of Stone <Naismith> per chance? His performance in the second half was woeful - his only contribution was causing two City players to be injured with a sneaky shove - and what about his simulation in the penalty box? That was embarrassing.
  23. Fair enough I am not here to fall out with people.
