Besler and Zusi have re-signed with Sporting Kansas City. Sad, i really wanted both of them to do some time in Europe, oh well. I hope Besler especially keeps getting better, well need him through this next WC cycle, Gold Cup, Copa America.

glad this is wrapped up, solid centre miss this year barry, mccarthy, gibson and besic. plus we have mccarthy and besic for the future. really happy about this. just need a striker and winger now and i'll be made up.

i agree those are all good players, but what i mean is every year his lineup is missing a bunch of round holes, instead of going out and getting round pegs to fill them, he gets square pegs and then finishes 4th for the 10th year in a row and wonders why they can't win the league. sell a couple midfielders buy another striker (sanchez is more of a winger, i know he can play up top but i don't know how well in this physical league) and a better holding midfielder and they'd have a shot. instead it will be old arteta in CM, and giroud (who is good) and sanogo (ligue 2 need i say more) at striker. i just can't see that working out well again, sanchez or not.

i really hope we finish above arsenal this year. wenger is an idiot when it comes to transfer dealings.

With sigurdssson back and Michu off to Italy I think Swansea will have a good season. Gylfi is very underrated and bagged a lot of goals the past couple years. I think he and bony will link up well. With Davies gone I wouldn't be surprised if Danny rose gets loaned to Swansea. Probably be the last part of that deal.

I think it also has to do with the Premier league wanting the foreign players. The german league doesn't. They have plenty of them, but they're not glory hunting seeking them out. Look at Bayern Munich, they don't buy "World cup star" or "Next biggest thing" every year, they buy the best GERMAN each year. Bought Gotze instead of going for Bale or someone. That's their mindset, that's how the DFB have made it over there. Plus most of those teams are owned by GERMANS. Not so in the prem, it's all Sheiks, Russians, and Americans. They would never allow that in Germany. Their biggest team Bayern is owned by a German, same with Borussia. Shalke owned by the club members, Bayer Leverkusen owned by German company, Wolfsburg owned by Volkswagon german company. Premer league big teams man city owned by foreigners, chelsea foreigners, liverpool foreigners, man united foreigners, Arsenal foreigners. Fix those big issues and I think you'll see a lot more Brits. Just don't be surprised if the league isn't good anymore.

End of Match 2-2. Goals by Naismith (Assisted by Garbutt) and Osman (Assisted by McGeady). Seamus injured his hamstring didn't look bad, but they took him out of the match as a pre-caution. Overall I though Garbutt was MOTM in the first half. Looked real quick, defended well and attacked well in addition to his assist for the first goal of the match. Lundstram got better as it went. McAleny looked nice on the couple touches he had as well. The youngsters had us up 1-0. 2nd Half Stones was terrible. Responsible solely for the first goal, and both he and Alcaraz at fault for the 2nd. Seamus looked good, McGeady swung in many a nice cross. Sad that we couldn't beat Tranmere and Snods said we apparently lost our first pre-season match in Austria 2-1 so hopefully we can beat leicester and get some momentum going.
