  1. http://www.espnfc.us/club/everton/368/blog/post/1939120/everton-transfers-assessment
  2. great point, definitely a possibility.
  3. Borini not going to Sunderland, says he wants to fight for a spot. smart move, i wouldn't want to play in the championship next year either.
  4. wow just wow. you're spot on, how is he worth 14m, and remy who scored more goals worth only 8.5m. ridiculous. i really hope sunderland go down this year, they splash the cash on garbage. the guy can't even make the liverpool bench and is worth 14m? i must be crazy smart move for them, i can see him getting another 12-15 goals, just don't think he will put up suarez type numbers.
  5. Yeah didn't realize they had been promoted, my bad. I'm actually a fan of the bundesliga, but need to work on my online jokes
  6. German pub league (I think they call it the leiderhosen league) side. Don't worry they've got the German messi he's only 15 though, they'll be quality.
  7. Let me rephrase what I said. The socks in addition to many other things are the reason he should be fired. Terrible pre season schedule, finances that aren't very transparent, kitbag deal, umbro deal, kit announcement delays, no movement on goodison refurb or new site just rumours, no socks for an unveiling. I'm sure others can add more, but to me the socks are the straw that breaks the camels back. A small thing like that and you can't even get that right? There's no telling what other stuff is bundled. Look I love everton, but the way other clubs are ran (smaller clubs, even championship clubs) puts us to shame, and that's unfortunate. Rant over.
  8. right he is the end all of the problems. here in the states when there is a major snafu (say apple release iPhone and they don't have any) the CEO resigns because ultimately it's their fault, they didn't put the things into motion or hire the right people or manage correctly to have the launch done. no use firing the kit guy, he was just doing as he was told, he's not responsible.
  9. 15.14 BST The Daily Mail says that Manchester City will move for Everton sensation Ross Barkley should Yaya Toure leave the club. The Premier League champions are hopeful that the Ivory Coast international will pledge his future to the club but there have been reports that he does not feel appreciated at the club. If Toure does decide to leave the Etihad outfit, Manuel Pellegrini is likely to make a move for Barkley, who was part of England's underwhelming World Cup campaign. However, the 20-year-old would certainly not be cheap, with Roberto Martinez reportedly slapping a 50 million pound price tag on his most prized asset. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2695837/Transfer-news-column-Ross-Barkley-man-Man-City-want-replace-Yaya-Toure.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed
  10. CEO means he's the one in charge. if someone messed up the order, either he hired incompetent people (who hired the bloke who messed up), he has terrible leadership and management skills (a mess up like this is ok and not a big deal), or he's apathetic to work (in which case he's a prick collecting a large paycheck to do nothing).
  11. ESPN reporting that Man City have stated if Yaya leaves they'll go in for Ross. RM put a 50m price tag on him. I really hope Yaya stays and fires that stupid agent of his, always creating trouble and making him more of a diva.
  12. agreed i rate him highly and think he's been under used and valued at spurs. i still believe he and ross would form a fantastic number 10 rotation.
  13. i just don't think they'll be back in the top 4 this campaign. that back 4 is still the same weak unit it was last year (which was terrible). gerrard is a year older and slower. and lastly they lost suarez who scored a ton and created a ton of chances. i don't think sturridge and sterling and "new striker" can make up that load this year. i think they'll be top 7, but i don't think they'll be challenging chelsea and man city like they did last campaign.
  14. any other organization in the world the person who flubbed that would be fired for an unveiling like this. instead Elstone probably gave himself a bonus. what a wanker
  15. he's even more of a mercenary than Rom is though. his contract is 8m for champs league team buyout, 12m for 5-6 place team.
  16. yeah i was about to come in here all rah rah about how we suck on corners but just read the 8th stat. dang. we must be doing something right then i guess.
  17. with moyes the whole team defended and we were solid as a rock. with RM, the front 4 don't defend really which you would think would make a difference. fact is he just brought in 2 proper Centre Midfielders (McCarthy, Barry) who made up for it. With better players we have the same defensive record yet have scored more goals because the front 4 is freed up.
  18. i'm surprised no one back in greece wanted him. or is the belgian league worse than the greek league?
  19. welcome! i'm a yank as well, live in new orleans, but used to live in LA, so i went down to san diego a couple times. nice city.
  20. After his World Cup performance i can almost guarentee we are not the only team looking at this guy. Especially for his low price too.
