that must be an english thing then. i really appreciate the 3/4 game. after 4 years of qualifying i think it's proper to have a couples places given to congratulate the teams that got that far. here in the states, in state competitions they usually place 1-8, for instance i was a wrestler and when you have thousands and thousand of kids that compete and you get 8th, that's really saying something. and way better than "i got to the quarterfinals" for me

i think they'll all see time in the domestic cup competitions. league cup and FA cup first 2 matches or so against pub league sides we can probably rest the starters and have browning and garbutt play. i doubt we want another oviedo leg break in some worthless league cup match again. put the youngsters in until we play some real competition.

with suarez gone i fully expect liverpool to implode. sturridge and sterling are both great but i just don't see it coming together for them. their back 4 is still weak and they keep going for midfield and forwards. i expect a big drop off from them ala spurs and bale.

remember when we were linked with negredo a couple times in the past and moyes went for him. negredo did the old "i don't want to go to everton" routine and stayed put in spain until man city came calling. i don't think he's coming here or is even available. if anything i think jovetic would go. dzeko, aguero, negredo is an amazing strike force.
