  1. made up. 72 points, europa league, and a bright future for everton. great season.
  2. mccarthy with his goal goal for the blues!!!!!!!! made up for him
  3. i'd like to see hibbert get some minutes as a farewell last match. would love to see mcaleny in there as well.
  4. Id take him. I think he would offer something and would be a good buy at that price with skmething to prove. Would probably move on after a good year but as long as we make our money back I'm fine with getting a mercenary like him.
  5. i'm surprised villa gets as much time as us on tv. i understand they are a big club, but they have been mid table at best for the last few years. i hope this 5th and europa this year gets us to a solid 5th for tv time next year.
  6. Here's what we have so far Gk Howard, Robles, new Czech kid (jindrich?) Rb Coleman, hibbert (retiring?), browning Cb Jags, Distin, stones, Alcaraz, Pennington Lb Baines, Oviedo, garbutt CM McCarthy, gibson, ledson Am Barkley, osman Wingers Pienaar, Mirallas, Mcgeady Striker Kone, Naismith, Mcaleny We could use another 2 cm (hopefully 1 is Barry), another 2 strikers, another winger, another rb, and another attacking mid. So we get Barry, Gerry on loan again, traore on loan again, and then we would just need rb, cm, am, and striker. No bad, a lot of depth and plenty of youngsters. I say spend big on the striker and centre mid, get youngish players about to hit their peak so well have them for a while. Rb, and am could be squad players on the cheap or free, Coleman and browning are the future, Barkley will start more and osman is still decent, wed really just need some bodies there.
  7. brazil and germany announced so far. no kaka for brazil, they've got fred and jo leading the line. should be interesting. i do like that they have a good number of brazil based players. also no coutinho, stupid RS overrated.
  8. to be honest, i'd like to have Rom here, although i think if he starts having some big years he'd just go to the next biggest club and wouldn't feel like staying. BUT i don't think we have a shot at him. With the likes of athletic, dortmund, roma, arsenal, spurs, etc. all in for him, surely we won't blow the transfer kitty on one player? wouldn't be wise. i think we should put our thinking elsewhere and shore up the rest of the squad and get a solid 10m-12m striker. we already have kone (should be good for 12 goals) and naismith (good for about 8 goals), so we just need another 15 goal scorer and mcaleny on the bench.
  9. Pelligrini and Martinez for me. To be honest I really like Manuel pelligrini, he really likes to attack and seems very class.
  10. Yeah Nikica I'm so happy with the result. Big Atletico fan here and glad their race is heating up just like the premier league has. Now we just need a couple more teams to compete in the spl, bundesliga, and ligue 1 and well have some great leagues!
  11. To be honest I think Roberto means what he says, but I also think he's "playing the game" as well. Putting out interest and saying he's ready to buy night drive off other people or force someone else to bid high and take him. Meanwhile maybe he knows he's not worth that and is just trying to make someone else take a dive. I think well get a lot of business done early but still have some deadline day stuff happen.
  12. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/05/06/pienaar-could-return-at-hull so glad to hear this. we really need him back and healthy next year. i really like his playing on the left and think he will add something creative for us.
  13. so steve the teams would still be independent, each team would just have a contract and loan allocation amount with each team? yeah could be decent, but if we had a bunch of possession football based teams that played like us it would be fine, but once a team does bad, fires the coach and brings in a hoof ball guy, then we'd have to get rid of our contract and find a new team. the current system lets us pick whoever we want.
  14. so essentially you have the American Major League Baseball System. Each team has a "farm league" of smaller clubs that are all their players. they move them up and down per their skill level and each kid hopes to make the big leagues. only thing with this, is that the english championship actually draws huge crowds. minor league baseball draws no many people at all. they have to do all these crazy promotions (free pregnant women night, everyone gets a free bicycle night, etc) to even get people there since it's a non-pro event. as an american, we have minor leagues or B teams if you want to call them that and I HATE THAT SYSTEM. i much prefer the premier league model of all professional teams and loans. i think it's brilliant. it gives the little teams and towns pride and a chance at the big time, and it gives the big teams a chance to help the smaller teams by loaning them talent. it seems very simpatico.
  15. maybe that's a british thing, here in america people do the same thing city is doing all the time. kill someone, hire a lawyer, admit that you killed someone but argue against a penalty, lawyer finds loophole, person goes free. justice is a virtue now, non-existent in our world unfortunately.
  16. instead of talking about moving the team to kirkby, MLS will be trying to move them across the pond
  17. i think we'll win pretty handily. i can see us with a tough lineup to begin, and let some youngsters play the second half. i want 72 points and the win. howard coleman jags distin baines mccarthy barry barkley lukaku naismtih mcgeady subs - gerry, ledson, browning
  18. Good point but how does Barry factor into all this? Would it be Barry McCarthy Milner and gibson rotating? I guess that could work and Milner could also play on the wing if need be. But would Barry and Milner both want to do that? My understanding is Barry would come here to start, not be on the bench again.
  19. No way he will go to spurs. He likes owners that he can trust and work with. Levy is a snake and would fire him for the bad run we had in the winter, he's too smart to go there.
  20. glad they are screwed. i really hope city run riot the last 2 matches. toure silva aguero and dzeko scoring at will.
  21. Welcome! I'm an American as well, I live in New Orleans, but have been to Seattle a few times. Great city! Glad to have you here!
  22. this thread sucks, go start a "who's a real fan thread" and someone please close this thing.
  23. yes for the right price. i guess we wouldn't sign barry then? after all isn't the reason barry came here because milner effectively took his place? either way, nice midfield and he has done well on the wing for man city dumping crosses in as well.
  24. Nope. He's going back to Swansea and with laudrup gone I'm sure the new manager will give him a shout.
  25. Cardiff and Fulham for sure, looking more and more likely to be Norwich now. Redmond - Norwich Dembele, Roberts - Fulham Mutch - Cardiff
