  1. i think another loan would be fine. why not? maybe then we could buy a younger striker, blood him next year with Kone and Naismith and when Lukaku leaves either he or Kone will be ready to lead the line.
  2. completely agree. i like the look of belgium and think they will make a solid go at it. i think they could even surprise some people and get to a semi-final. great players, young and plenty of confidence, plus courtois is a thing of beauty in the goal, what a keeper for a guy so young.
  3. has anyone thought maybe he's the next lambert? plenty of players do well in the lower leagues and also do well in the prem. every player doesn't come up from the reserves and just starting tearing it up. why not give the guy a shot? for cheap 25 championship goals is probably like 7 prem goals, i'd take another naismith for sure.
  4. finally the thoughts of an intelligent and sane man. what a breath of fresh air. woy is a joke.
  5. Hodgson can fack off that old twat. I think this makes everton look better. We nurture talent and have positivity. Other clubs it's doom and gloom and the old boys club. Hopefully ross is thinking that's what it would be like at any other club, best if I stay at everton where they appreciate me and aren't dumb as a rock.
  6. 2 years at 60k at week sounds good to me. 3 is a little much. The 2m fee sucks but I guess it will be worth it in the long run. He's a good locker room guy and already knows the players and tactics.
  7. He's barely going to get time in the tourney, I doubt he will even be noticed. No offense, I love ross too, but he's still young and raw, next World Cup would be the one he tears a new one.
  8. Group A Group B Group C Group D Brazil Spain Colombia Italy Mexico Netherlands Greece England Croatia Chile Ivory Coast Uruguay Cameroon Australia Japan Costa Rica Group E Group F Group G Group H Switzerland Argentina Germany Belgium Ecuador Bosnia- Herzegovina Portugal Algeria France Iran Ghana Russia Honduras Nigeria USA South Korea final 4 will be brazil, spain, argentina, germany. 1 - Brazil, 2 - Argentina, 3 - Germany 4 - Spain those are my picks.
  9. I'm resigned to the fact that nothing is going to happen until after the World Cup.
  10. I don't know to be honest. I like David villa as well, loic remy would be nice. I'm just saying that I don't think we need a big muscular type striker, for the possession play I would rather a smaller speedy guy who can make quick runs.
  11. YeH I knew we wouldn't get rom but I'm not bothered. Would love a poor mans aguero type striker here.
  12. Glad he recognizes that and wants to come good. I hope he does.
  13. Thanks dunc, great point I'm glad RM told him it's make it or break it this offseason. I hope he makes it.
  14. Yes and I'd give Michu a punt, I think he will come good again next year.
  15. with potchetino now i could see him staying. maybe we can get holtby at a cut rate though.
  16. Exactly. Offer a cut rate deal that way it won't hurt that much if he sucks.
  17. let's have a go at schneiderlen and rodriguez now. i wouldn't mind gaston ramirez either.
  18. yes, i was a big fan of his at fulham, but at spurs he's been mis-used and they are just a hot mess over there. i think he and mccarthy would be fantastic together.
  19. If he signs I hope we get lieutenant dans band to play to celebrate
  20. I would love to see baines there next year. He and McCarthy would be great together. That would give Oviedo and garbutt the chance to play LB. Plus that would make Barry (if we signed him) more of a squad player and useful in rotation. Oviedo baby, Oviedo ooooooooo
  21. i thought they were fined and could only do 60m of transfers this year from FFP sanctions? guess they're going all in on him then, blowing the kitty in one fell swoop. maybe they'll sell some players though (pastore, menez, lucas).
  22. speaking of posters…. http://espnmediazone.com/us/photos/galleries/2014/05/02/2014-fifa-world-cup-international-posters/#photo-34 our very own tim howard is on the US one
  23. julian green is the future of american soccer, of course we should bring him! remember your dear landon was at a WC when he was 18, same thing! Boyd is young and talented, sure the austrian league is a step down from the top euro leagues, but he plays year in and out in the Europa league against top competition as well. AND HE'S YOUNG, i think you're forgetting, LD won't be around next world cup. Green, Boyd, etc will be around. they need experience and playing time and a vote of confidence. i may be a eurosnob or maybe i just appreciate good players. robbie keane could barely hack it at villa and spurs before he came to MLS, he's the best MLS player for the past 3 years. bradley wright phillips was a D2 or D3 england player who is tearing it up this year. I actually like MLS, i lived in LA and follow the galaxy. But i'm not foolish enough to think the competition level is high there.
  24. landon played for the MLS, scoring against aging european players, american college players, and central american has beens. dempsey played in the premier league against the best in the world. he played in the europa league final, he was 3rd one year in premier league scoring (that's overall). that's why he's the captain, cause JK sees a real player, not a big fish beating up the minnows. Donovan did OK with everton and terrible with bayer leverkusen. look i like the guy and think he's a good player, but he's old and his form is terrible. clint's form is hitting now, that's all that matters. read some JK interviews, he's all about guys hitting form now. that's why brad evans is out as well, he's out of form and hasn't been doing well. wondo is a striker, different position, beckerman is a DM, different position. the reason davis got chosen is because he's a lefty, donovan usually plays wide right or central attacking midfielder. this isn't brazil 78 when you just throw out your 11 best players, you need tactical players that work in your formation. landon on the left doesn't work. davis won't play anyways. you'll see zusi and bedoya on the right, dempsey in the AM position, and fabian johnson out left, with Diskeruud coming off the bench for dempsey. jozy will start and you'll see wondo/AJ come off the bench for him. honestly i would rather see Mixx or Zusi/bedoya come on as a sub (in the positions LD plays) than Landon. just my opinion.
