  1. I completely disagree. Dempsey is our best player and has the stats (3rd in prem scoring last Fulham season) to back it up. Donovan is old and took time off an hasn't scored since December. He's in a slump, can barely train due to his age and body wear, and has himself admitted to being out of form and old and publicly said a bench role would be fine. But instead of confining him to the bench, Juergen is looking to the future with young talent. I applaud that. Julian green, Fabian Johnson, chandler, brooks, yedlin, diskeruud, Johannson, etc are all players who will be playing in 2018 World Cup. We are in the group of death and expectations Are low, why not do the youth movement and go all in for 2018? I love it. Only thing I didn't like is Terrance Boyd (20 goals in Austrian bundesliga) didn't make the cut. He's young and scores (unlike Jozy altidore) and I want to see him more.
  2. Would love to see browning, garbutt, ledson, and Mcaleny getting some time this next season.
  3. Not too worried about it to be honest. Gerry was a squad player that was useful in rotation and cup matches. I like the look of Mcgeady more and Pienaar will probably be on the bench this year. Maybe we will see Oviedo on the wing as well this year.
  4. I hope he burns the players out and they mutiny again. He's got a situation with Rooney too. Rvp is the 9, mata the 10, Rooney is just fat, not sure where that puts him. Oh yeah he's also the highest paid. United for relegation would be great.
  5. Congrats on your local escaping relegation with the draw against Bilbao today! I've followed them a little bit and hope you do well again next year.
  6. I couldn't agree more! Europa must be a priority and we could knock Arsenal out of CL by winning as well (guessing they get 4th again). Plus the quality of teams I just feel we match up against and could beat.
  7. Same as the man city liverpool thing, I hate arsenal but want us too succeed more so I was happy with the result and knowing we are in at the group stages of the Europa league. So glad we don't have a playoff and are guaranteed 6 matches Congrats blues!!
  8. Congrats lads, we really have a fantastic academy!!
  9. True that. FFS a bunch of negative nancies around here. I'd take him and I'm looking forward to kone as well. Great squad player and useful for early Europa.
  10. I'd prefer 4231 and 433 for our formations next year. Both we did well at this year.
  11. i agree. he's probably super cheap, and is a great locker room guy and has been with everton for a long time. why not? i'd rather him than some castoff from a relegation team or a bench player from villa or something. at least we know what he can do and how.
  12. Sevilla wins on penalties. Crazy. So happy for them!! I think we've got a real shot at it next year!
  13. I like the look of the us roster minus altidore. He woeful spell at Sunderland an scoring 2 goals in all competitions begs the question of should he start. Personally I say give Terrance Boyd (rapid Vienna 20 goals) a shot. Has played in Europa league against good competiton and is similar build and player to altidore but scores goals. Johannson would be a good shout too but he's scored less than Jozy did in the eredivise in a year
  14. Kraft is a fantastic owner. Very hands on, loves the players and loves sport. he would be perfect for Everton, also he would make the EFC LFC rivalry better since he owns Boston Football, and LFC owners own Boston Baseball. Battle of Boston and Liverpool! I can hope!
  15. gutted for wigan. they had the game in the bag but just couldn't get another goal to kill it off. 'arry and qpr won, so mad, i was hoping so badly they would lose and enter administration and go away, but alas it's them and derby county for the playoff spot. go derby!
  16. which is amazingly cheap for a guy with like 28 goals. i thought it was 60m being tossed around, shite for 32m screw the summer plans go get diego and blood the youngsters!!
  17. Lerner owned my local American football team growing up and he tanked that as well. Not a good owner at all. Very very hands off and wants results but doesn't really do much to get there.
  18. Agreed Cornish. I believe this is how it's done in American sports where they total the earnings and divide it equally to all teams. And you're right it allows for the big match ups to get airtime but also local rivalries and grudge matches and such. We can't complain too much since we are at the top end of the spectrum.
  19. yep i agree. if we could do a double swoop for 10m i'd be okay with it, but not worth 15m for the both of them.
  20. If I was soton I'd charge whatever Man U was willing to pay! They are smart for this, he could flop or have his maturation flawed while there and not see much time (like pogba and so many others). I really think that the team is a mess and even 150-200m isn't going to get it back to the too 4. They'll just have a bunch of mercenaries and money hungry people, which is going to be like spurs this year.
  21. Thanks again Steve for doing this. Was a lot of fun and really appreciate your work!
  22. yep totally rooting for arsenal to win that cup. to be honest, with that result, the europa qualifying falls as it should. we were the best of the 3 teams qualified and should be at the group stage.
  23. mccarthy for me, moved into attack more, defended well, and moved the ball around like usual. i can't wait to see what next year brings for james, he's going to be a beast.
